FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my pricing is always right in the middle. We try to build like it's our own. We hope that we're giving you very high-end work for a middle-of-the-road price. Have us give you a free estimate and see how you like the project when it's written out on paper. People can say whatever they want until they put it on an actual contract. We put everything in writing right away.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Have a phone conversation with the client about what they might like while looking at the same photos online together. Whether the client has the photos and is asking for a replica of that, in their house... Or they're looking at photos that we have, and would like something like that. On pricing , which of course is very important... all of these websites for construction have calculators. Use their calculators and or read the contracts that we present you with and make sure that you're getting a excellent deal for excellent work. Then set up an appointment to get more clear on the process that they're looking to go through. We want the Project to be simple for the customer and less confusing. We do this every day , so it does not confuse us at all. That is not always fair to the customer when contractors run in and out of their house with upgrades or changes or change orders. We try to eliminate all change orders we can from the very beginning.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
as I said I grew up with my father and grandfather's being Carpenters. By that time my great-grandfather didn't touch any more tools. He just liked ordering us around. But I went into the Carpenter's Apprentice program in the Carpenters Union in 1979 and stayed with that until the 90s. I've been a licensed and insured contractor since 2005 now.
