Introduction
We are AWARD WINNING full-time, professional pet sitters happily serving all Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. We have happily been providing pet sitting and dog walking services since 1997! Just let us know how we can help. If you want something that isn’t on the menu, ask us. We will accommodate all your pet’s needs. After all, spoiling pets (and their parents) is what we do best. Our team of dedicated pet care professionals is comprised entirely of rescue volunteers (if someone is willing to spend their entire Saturday scooping poop for free, you know they are a dedicated animal lover!), vet techs, and animal trainers. So we can love and look after your pet just right, we ask for very detailed care instructions. If the pet sitter you are interviewing isn't asking a lot of questions, find someone else. We are also bonded and insured so you can rest assured that your pets are in safe hands. Continuing Education: PlayTime Pet Sitters has attended more ongoing education classes through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters and Pet Sitters International than any other sitting service in Colorado Springs. I get to love and care for animals all day every day. Sometimes I can't believe this is my job. Seriously, who wouldn't enjoy it?

Howdy everyone! Sydney Kitty here on behalf of the other Petite Pets-Zach the Mini Poodle and Lexie the Partial Pug. We just wanted to tell you how much we love PlayTime Pet Sitters. They are the best in Colorado Springs and we've been through a few pet sitters! They came over to our house to meet us and weren't scared off by Mom's four-page list of instructions on how to take care of us. They come by every weekday to play with us (and take my doggie brother and sister potty) because Mom has to work long days sometimes. We have so much fun with them! I like them because they love to brush me and they do it way better than Mom does. PlayTime Pet Sitters also told Mom about Furry Friends and 4 Paws on the Go and now we are eating better and Zach loves to get groomed. Anyway, we hope your pet parents are smart like our Mom and choose PlayTime Pet Sitters. That way you can be as happy as we are." ~Jessica B. (mom), Zach (woof), Sydney (meow), & Lexie (woof)

Hi Sydney, So nice to hear from you. Your mom's 4 page list of instructions were great. That way we know EXACTLY how to make you and your woof siblings happy. That's what we are all about - happy, healthy, safe critters!

Playtime has come to my home to look after my cat, Gracie, on several different occasions. As a very attached cat mom, it's not easy for me to leave her for others to look after, and as an anxious cat, Gracie doesn't easily warm up to new people. However, I've been very impressed with the services Playtime has provided, which has helped give me piece of mind when going away. Each sitter has provided informative updates to me, with pictures and specific info on what Gracie has done during each visit, and the sitters have done really well allowing her the space to warm up to them on her own terms. In addition, Susan, the Chief Tummy Rub Officer, is clearly very closely involved in all of the company's operations, and is extremely diligent in responding quickly to any questions or concerns and ensuring that all of the pets under the company's charge are in good hands. I've also been impressed with the overall dedication the sitters seem to have toward animals in general, as it seems that many or all are also involved in various animal rescue groups, indicating to me that caring for animals isn't just a job for them, but a passion. Gracie and I would definitely recommend Playtime to others!

PlayTime Pet Sitters is great! We never have to worry about our furry family when we go out of town. It's such a relief. We have a diabetic cat. Our PlayTime pet sitter is so good with her. She gets her injections right on time, but just as important, they make Rosie feel comfortable and safe. I guess that's why she takes her medicine so well for them. We can't thank them enough!

Thank you for you comments Amy. You know we LOVE taking care of Rosie and her woof friends!

"I always have a great time whenever my PlayTime Pet Sitter comes over. I know I'm going to get a long walk, some treats, and of course, lots of tummy rubs! My owners can go out of town any time!"  ~Harlowe~ Translated by Harlowe's Mom, Larrisa A.

Review 1: We are so thankful that we found PlayTime Pet Sitting! When we are away we don’t worry about our cats because we know they are being taken care of. We come home to find great notes from PlayTime Pet Sitting about each visit and what the cats were up to. Last time we were gone I emailed Susan to ask how the cats were doing and I received a quick response and she even sent me pictures of the cats! Our cats are part of our family so it’s hard to leave them at all, but knowing that PlayTime Pet Sitting is there makes it a whole lot easier!

Hi Jennifer, Thank you so much for your kind words. You know we love taking care of your family. What a treat to walk in to a house with 6 meows waiting for us! Every one is a special little fur ball. We will post their photos on this page so every one can admire them =^,^=

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

We are happy to offer a Free Initial Consultation for new customers. We are always delighted to meet new pet parents and their munchkins, which is why our first ever meet and greet is always free. Here’s what to expect with an initial consultation. 1) We will come to your home at a convenient time and introduce ourselves to you and your pet. If they are shy or anxious we will be extremely respectful of that. 2) We will spend time getting to know your pet’s likes and dislikes, where their food is kept, where their favorite toys are hidden, their medications, and any other important particulars that will enhance our care for them. 3) We will always ask if there is anything else we can do, such as water plants or bring in mail. 4) Before leaving, we will pick up keys and ensure they work in the locks and, of course, say a warm goodbye to your pet.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

We take care of anyone that doesn't need to go to college :) Everyone on our team has experience working with extremely abused, shy, and special needs animals. We know the quiet, gentle, respectful approach is best. We love the happy, healthy ones too of course; we take care of anything and everything they need--whatever makes them happy!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Trust your animals. Happy, healthy, animals are usually excellent judges of character. If they aren't comfortable with the person(s) you are interviewing, PAY ATTENTION! We encourage people to interview several sitters. You want to make sure you find just the right team for your furry family. Most professional sitters offer a complimentary 'meet you pet sitter' appointment. Remember, you get what you pay for. Professionals cost a little more, but they (should) have the experience, credentials, and genuine concern for your family to make the extra cost worth it.
