Introduction: I am not your average photographer. Steeped in photojournalist ethics, and fine art theory, I like to make photographic experience fun for my subjects while capturing their essential truths within the picture. Raised in a home with a darkroom, I have been around photography all my life and have since been formally studying photography it for the last 17 years. I enjoy the moments of synergy that occur as the final product crystallizes.

I fell in love with Bradley's photographic artistry at first look. He captures and produces something so original whether he is photographing people or food....he photographed lots of food for my raw food catering company. I am in awe of his talent.

Bradley came out to photograph for an article being written about Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates for the Indy GIVE! We had him meet us out on location on a cold day with snowy trails. He was able to coordinate a series of beautiful shots that showed off not only the wonderful Chamberlain Trail extension but captured many of our fat bikers in action. Excellent job, easy to work with and beautiful photographic results.

FAQs

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

On assignment last fall for the Colorado Springs Independent, I captured this photograph at One Nation Walking Together, a local nonprofit. http://www.csindy.com/imager/volunteer-ronald-deherrera-loads-christmas-gifts-for-reservation-families/b/original/2788755/af23/news5-1_give.jpg It is captioned, "Ronald Deherrera loads Christmas gifts for reservation families." I like it because it brings together a series of discongruant elements into one composition. The mountain and the box, positioned along the rule of thirds both stand in balance with each other and both reference the native Americans, with Pikes Peak considered a holy mountain by the Utes and the box full of presents headed east to a reservation in Kansas. The general context of the photograph, and especially along with the Croquet Mallets, reference (in contrast to the mountain and box) the Americanization of the west, Colonial England's grand efforts, and the great migrations west. All of these compositional elements come together to touch on this great hope for the future because, after-all, this is only a photograph about presents for a few girls, age 3-5.
