Introduction: "where dogs go to find Adventure" Where Do We Provide Hiking Services to and When? We offer Pack hikes on Tuesday Wednesday Thursday in Colorado Springs. Small pack sizes, no more than 4 dogs total Pick up Hours: 10am-11am Hiking Hours: 11:30am-1:30pm Drop off Hours: 2pm-3pm How did Peaks & Paws come about? I just moved to the charming small town of Colorado City, Colorado with a delightful population of 2,315. I have been working two jobs since I moved back in April 2023 and its cut into my hiking time with my pets. Which got me thinking about ways that I can exercise my own high energy dog, while getting some more exercise for myself and help other families that also have high energy pups at home but work long hours or there just simply aren't enough hours in the day to hike your dog everyday. That is how Peaks & Paws was created! What makes Peaks & Paws different? I knew that I didn't want a large pack to manage but the idea of offering small pack hikes with no more than 4 dogs per hike. Each hike is 2 hours long I provide pick up and drop off services during a 1 hour time window before and after the hike. Why is 4 the magic number? I have 4 dogs myself 2 bigs (60 & 70lbs) and 2 littles (8 and 15lbs) and know that I can confidently handle 4 dogs. 4 dogs can comfortably fit in my car and I can fit up to 3 crates in my car. Why Should You Hire Us? I have over 20 years of experience working with and around animals and I am eager to get back to working with them. I spent 6 years prior to Covid working as a pet care specialist where I was an Independent contractor and had weekly dog walking clients and regular pet sitting clients. I am confident in my experience and handling as I also spent 6 years working in dog daycares in California, Colorado and Utah.
