Shantel is amazing. I finally managed to get an appointment with AARP two weeks before the filing deadline, but they decided not to help because my situation was outside their scope. I was so desperate to find a taxpreparer, and Shantel responded very quickly, gave me a very reasonable quote, and started working as soon as I uploaded my documents. She completed everything by the next day!

A taxpreparer could have asked More questions for a few reasons:
* To identify deductions or credits I qualify for * To understand my household situation, dependents, work, education, or caregiving responsibilities. * To build rapport supplying personal information Examples of normal tax-related questions could have been asked. To make the person feel comfortable about the process. At some point I felt insecure. I never had my taxesprepared by someone I can’t see. Maybe the option of zoom would make things more comfortable. When I receive my refund I will feel more comfortable.
