Update: The management at Wilson & Myers responded to my original review promptly and gave me a refund of the service call fee plus additional compensation for the new dishwasher. Their reactions were professional and appropriate. Original review: I inherited a dishwasher that came with the house, and the warranty had expired. I moved in not long ago, I used the dishwasher a couple times, and it was fine. Then the dishwasher stopped draining properly. I tried troubleshooting it and I could not find the cause, so I hired Wilson and Myers that cost me $50 for a service call. Their tech took less than ten minutes to investigate the dishwasher, determined I needed a new drain pump, and quoted me over $300 for the fix. A new dishwasher costs only a bit more, I decided to buy a new one instead. During the installation, that tech found out that between the garbage disposal and the dishwasher drain, the original plug was still intact. The plug blocked drainage from the dishwasher. He took the plug off for the new drain pipe to work. The drain pump of my old dishwasher was likely working fine and it should have been an easy fix. The tech from Wilson and Myers should have taken the time and checked the garbage disposal drainage before giving me an expensive quote.

Sergei who came out to repair my dryer diagnosed the burned out heating element quickly, and made a quick work of replacing it when it arrived a few days later. Will definitely call them again for a big appliance repair job.
