FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My grandfather used to say I don't want my workers to starve, but I also don't want them pulling up to the job in a Mercedes truck. When I see a subcontractor pull up to the job in a $90,000 truck I doubt I'll get a fair price. I'm sure my customers feel the same. I don't want to be the most expensive guy out there, but I also don't want to be the cheapest guy either. "the bitterness if poor quality lasts long after the sweetness of a low price is forgotten" is the old adage. So my goal is to be reasonable about pricing.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I want to know how you'll live and work in the space we design together. Then I want to give some options you may not have considered. Ultimately the space has to suite the way you envision it. My job is then to figure out how to make it work and meet code.
