FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My session rate is $145 per 50 minute session. While our group does not take insurance we can provide you with the necessary paperwork to submit to your provider. Clients with out-of-network coverage get a portion of their expenses back once they meet their deductible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
One of the essential ingredients to our approach at The Colorado Center is ensuring a good fit. We measure therapeutic alliance at each session because we truly want your feedback on how we are doing. Do you feel listened to? Are we working on the goals you want to work on? Is my approach a fit for your needs? In working with a new client I start by simply getting to know you. I will think about the best way to structure therapy sessions and whether to work with you individually or with a partner or family member. I will spend some time asking about your family and relationship history. We will look at key events and perhaps traumas that have occurred in your life. I will also really listen for the difficulties you are struggling with in your life today. Together we can work on defining your goals and moving towards change in a way that feels supportive to you.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and obtained my MSW from Washington University in St. Louis. I also pursued post graduate training in Relationship and Family Therapy. Currently I am working towards certifications in Play Therapy and in EMDR, so I am continually training and developing my skill set.
