I've trained dogs for 14 years, starting off as a former Military Working Dog Trainer, since then I've rehabilitated pitbulls from fighting rings, certified over 50 service dog teams, and trained hundreds of pets to live in harmony with their humans. Classes are held at your home so we can focus on practical problems without sharing a trainer’s time with other students. I thoroughly train the owners so your dog will continue to listen to you years after our training sessions. I use balanced training techniques, meaning I teach new tasks in a fun manner through positive reinforcement, then, once the dog completely understands the command, I will teach appropriate, humane consequences that will not effect your relationship negatively when your dog decides not to listen. Lance was professional and knowledgeable. He spent more than the allotted appointment time working with us and our dog. He listened to our needs and then showed us how to accomplish our goals working with our dog. He is enthusiastic and made the training fun for us and our dog.

My adopted 2 1/2 year old American Bulldog (Lila) was difficult on leash and was showing signs of being dog aggressive/selective. With Lance's guidance/training I now know what to do if she pulls on leash (which is becoming less and less each day). She also knows her basic commands (sit, stay and come). As for dog aggression/selection Lance worked with her for about a hour and she is leaps and bounds better. I now know what to do for dog meet and greets and how to handle the situation if she is showing aggression. Thanks Lance!

Lance has an extensive knowledge on dog behavior and it shows in every aspect of his training. He was able to help us train our puppy to do basic things such as sit and stay, leave it, and even ring a doorbell to go outside to potty. Lance is able to adapt his training based on the response of the dog and our needs/requests. I HIGHLY recommend Lance. You won't be disappointed!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, $700 for four sessions, $250 for an additional 2 classes, then $100/hr after completing 6 classes. 10% discount on adopted dogs! Each class is one to 1.5 hours, once a week or every other week.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to start with a free 30-45 minute consultation. That way you can be sure of my experience and will be assured knowing I have the ability to help you reach your goals with your dog before buying training classes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Former US Navy Military Working Dog Handler, Certified Dog Trainer and Behavior Specialist by Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers, AKC Canine Good Citizen Test Evaluator, and Explosive Detection Canine Handler.
