With 20 years of experience teaching privately and in large groups, in schools, colleges, and corporate settings, John is passionate about providing a nurturing, energetic, inspirational, positive instructional environment for people of all ages, genders, and experience levels. John is personable, friendly, adaptable, efficient, patient, and able to use music and drumming with a therapeutic and healing approach to enrich people’s lives. John is a full-time musician, has a degree from the Berklee college of music in Boston, and has studied traditional drumming in West Africa on 3 separate long tours. John is a fantastic drum teacher! We recently relocated to CO, and because of the pandemic my son, Landon, was unable to continue with school based drum lessons. We found John on thumbtack and were impressed by his responsiveness, flexibility and enthusiastic nature. After my kiddos first lesson we knew we found a gem. John is kind, and funny and patient. He matches to the style of the student, and meets them right where they are at. Landon enjoyed his studio lessons so much that we decided to add a second lesson each week on zoom. This has added even further to Landons technical ability and with each lesson I can see his confidence grow!
