John Olsson Drum Lessons

With 20 years of experience teaching privately and in large groups, in schools, colleges, and corporate settings, John is passionate about providing a nurturing, energetic, inspirational, positive instructional environment for people of all ages, genders, and experience levels. John is personable, friendly, adaptable, efficient, patient, and able to use music and drumming with a therapeutic and healing approach to enrich people’s lives. He has gained these skills through his experience with performing, teaching, and traveling, and through working with people of all ages and abilities including special needs. John is a full-time musician, has a degree from the Berklee college of music in Boston, and has studied traditional drumming in West Africa on 3 separate long tours. He specializes in all styles of music on the drum set, hand drums, concert / orchestral percussion, reading & writing music, audio production & engineering, sampling, electronic beat-making, and piano.
