FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Prices are negotiable. Single shoots that result in 10 to 15 final photos and take between four to six hours to shoot may range between $200 and $400.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually do a phone call to get more information about a client's vision and so that we can schedule the shoot. If the client is more comfortable with a face-to-face meeting first, that can be even more productive so that we can look online at costumes or locations, if those are necessary for the shoot. A typical shoot may take several hours. If we're doing a shoot that is somewhat uncomfortable or new for the client (boudoir is an example), I encourage the client to bring along friends to help make the environment more fun and comfortable.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor of arts degree in Studio Art from the University of Missouri - Kansas City where I specialized in photography. My art has been featured in local galleries, and I have freelanced for several years. In addition to freelance photography, I work for Lifetouch Photography and have trained on many different types of cameras and studio equipment. I edit and finish all pictures in Lightroom and Photoshop.
