FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Estimating Process: (Preliminary phone consultations are always free!) For smaller projects we can usually offer an estimate in just a couple days upon receipt of all pertinent information and/or conducting a site visit. For these simple projects we charge a $50 fee for the preliminary rough scope of work estimate. We credit this back to your project if we are contracted for the project. _______________________________________________________ If your project is small but constitutes a site visit prior to providing an estimate, we consider this to be at least slightly complex and charge a flat rate of 150$ for the site visit and estimate. These generally take 2 to 7 days. We credit this back to your project if we are contracted for the project. _______________________________________________________ For large projects like new construction including ADU's and major remodels, we will always require a site visit prior to providing an estimate and we work with you set a fixed price for your estimate based on the details. These project estimates require a greater level of detail and foresight. We encourage you to take us up on the free consultation call first, then go from there. These initial estimates can take 2 to 3 weeks to ensure we're providing you with the most accurate preliminary scope of work we can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with new customers we make a point to explain our process and what to expect. Establishing expectations, processes, and service fees upfront is the only way to establish trust moving forward. We want to know what your expectations are and we want to define how to get there.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Having filled the roles of Superintendent, Project Manager, Construction Manager, and Production Manager during my professional career, I have learned the industry inside and out. Most of my experience comes from managing the construction of custom homes from project planning through final occupancy inspections. From technical constructability and logistics to budget management and client relations, I'm seasoned in working directly with clients, design professionals, and everybody in between that takes a project from concept through completion. I have studied building code extensively and I utilize this education to find viable compliant solutions for difficult problems, cosmetic or structural.
