Hired on Thumbtack

I was a self-taught intermediate guitar player before using thumbtack to hire a teacher. I started out by trying out 2 other guitar teachers from Thumbtack. Justin really impressed me right off the bat for his knowledge of music theory and its practical application to help me achieve my guitar goals. I've seen drastic improvements already, and now have a much better understand of what I need to focus on. His lessons are really flexible and geared towards what I want to be learning. His rates are amazing, and he really goes out of his way to do an amazing job. I strongly suggest starting by booking him for one lesson and I am positive you won't regret it. Also a generally cool guy.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Yes, can read guitar tabs • Acoustic • Classical • Rock • Yes, the student has an instrument • 45 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

My so has taken guitar, bass, and drum lessons from Justin. Justin is THE BEST! He is an innovative and talented teacher, as well as a great musician. Justin has instilled a love of playing that will last my son’s lifetime.

I have been taking gutair lessons with Justin for the past 3-4 years and it’s been a great experience. He is a very talented musician and can play just about any piece by ear. Justine is an excellent instructor at any level and helps me work through pieces to simplify them for my experience level, but still find ways to develop skills. Justin is flexible on arranging the time, place, and frequency of my lessons. It is definitely a good value for me and a pastime I have found to be extremely rewarding. Whether you are a beginner like I was or more advanced, he can help you sharpen your skills.

Justin is awesome, and I highly recommend him if you're considering a new guitar teacher. Prior to working with Justin I was stalled out with guitar. I had learned some thing on my own, but wasn't making much progress. I couldn't seem to concentrate long enough to get in to difficult songs, and my playing was stale. I was getting bored. I started working with Justin years ago (I still have a lesson every single week), and have stayed with him because he is great at what he does. He is patient, takes the time to dissect and learn the songs that I want to play, and makes them easy for me to understand, and works with me to master things that don't come naturally to me. Music is a challenge for me, and working with Justin takes it from frustrating to fun, and I am consistently improving my playing month after month, year after year. I have a lot of fun playing songs with him that have two guitar parts. Plus, chicks dig guitar players so... the investment of time and money is worth it. ; ) If you're on the fence, I highly recommend you at least try out Justin and see for yourself what he brings to the table. He's worth every penny, and developing a worthwhile skill, like guitar, over the long term is one of the most rewarding gifts you can give to yourself.

Justin has been working with my grandson for 2-3 years. My grandson looks forward to his lessons and practices! ! I am so inspired that I signed up for lessons (and I am not a young grandma). I am most impressed with his ability to adjust and simplify his lessons when he sees I don’t understand or my fingers don’t know what to do. I, too, look forward to my lessons (and practicing).
