I've had Dan come to my house twice now for various things - fixing a leaky pipe, hanging shelves, curtain rods, light fixtures, decorative wall trim, and a barn door. This is all considered "normal" handyman stuff, but a lot of it was actually cleaning up after my own mistakes from trying to DIY it. He's been really supportive of my "do it myself" attitude and has gone out of his way to kindly teach me how to do things properly for next time. Anytime there's been an issue or problem with what he's doing, he has always worked hard to find a solution. He's extremely responsive and communicative, neat and tidy when he's in my home, trustworthy, incredibly knowledgeable, detail oriented, and his work is top notch. I'm a little outside of his geographical work zone but he's happily come out anyway, always with a very positive and fun attitude. I can't imagine working with another handyman going forward.
