What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. My design follows NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association) guidelines which provide superior detailing and processes. I only work with the best contractors and trades, and my relationships in the community help to offset the cost of design. My years of service stand behind my costs, which help to save on your budget at the end of the day.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is important that any new client has the opportunity to share our ideas and who we all are before getting into a working relationship. It is imperative that we have a foundation of trust before we start the process of design work because these investments are for your home and your life. Once we get started, it's a lot of conversations on what the goals are, and deciphering what the actual issues of your space are. There are lots of meetings to go over end-goals and the process! Design work is lengthy, but I like to have continual meetings to ensure we're managing expectations and moving forward appropriately. I like to include my clients in as much of the process as they're comfortable with!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design with a BFA in Sustainable Interior Design and am currently working on my certification for a Certified Kitchen and Bath designer designation from the NKBA, a challenging and well-worth the coursework and benefit to my clients.
