FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new client is welcomed into my space, I will ask a few questions to get an idea of what their body needs. I will ask - How does your body feel? Right now, in this moment? When was the last time you received massage? How was your experience? Are you recovering from any injuries? Have you had any physical traumas? What do you do for work/play? How does your soul feel? Are you experiencing any emotional/spiritual trauma? (completely optional - we don't need to go that deep if you do not feel comfortable with this)
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended & graduated (with honors) Denver School of Massage Therapy. I have been doing massage from November, 2017 to present. I am a level 2 Reiki practitioner. The definition of Reiki, straight from Google, is this - "a healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the patient by means of touch, to activate the natural healing processes of the patient's body and restore physical and emotional well-being." From myself, I will tell you that Reiki can be done with hands on or off the client, and the client remains clothed during a Reiki session. When I do Reiki, I imagine Universal energies flowing through the crown of my head, through my hands, and into my client. I place my hands on (or over) certain points of the body during the session, and I work off of my own intuition when determining how long to stay in an area. My hands become very warm during Reiki sessions, and client feedback has been that of very deep relaxation, and an overall positive feeling within.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My mother was the one who introduced the idea of massage therapy to our family, and my sister and I easily fell into the flow of bodywork. All three of us are loving and intuitive, with a desire to help others heal as we work on our own healing. For myself personally, I love people. I think people have so much potential to grow and better themselves, to feel better within themselves, and to be happier in their lives. I have seen all of this happening within myself on my journey as a healer. I have also witnessed the effects of massage therapy and how it can truly be a vital step in someone's growth and success. Beside the long list of proven medical benefits of massage, there is the fact that massage simply feels good. I feel happier and healthier after I receive bodywork, and from there I achieve more in my day-to-day life. My mind feels more carefree, and I feel lighter from my worries and stress. I want everyone to feel these positive things, because I truly care about people and I want to see us all succeed and be happy. I think I'm changing the world, one massage at a time.
