Introduction: I use my professional training and natural athletic ability to help my clients better understand their own physical abilities and how they can get the most out of every workout to achieve their personal goals. My unique training philosophy incorporates highly personalized programs that allow my clients to take responsibility for their own health and wellness while receiving the proper guidance, encouragement and motivation. I train all fitness levels from beginner to advanced. My passion for helping others set and reach their fitness goals takes form in a highly energetic and positive environment that brings out the best in my clients and classes. As a high-performance athlete myself, currently training for an Ironman Triathlon, I know the importance of exercising in a safe and efficient manner. Proper form is key to staying injury free. I take extra care when clients have existing injuries and modify accordingly. My approach to exercise is geared toward health, wellness and fun! In addition to Personal Training and to compliment your personal training program, I offer an optional Day-By-Day, Month to Month NUTRITION PLAN to help accomplish your health and weight loss goals. Certified Dietitians and Nutritionists teamed up with EVOLUTION NUTRITION to create meal plans to accommodate food preferences and intolerances, such as Lactose free, Gluten free, Soy Free, Low glycemic preferences, Vegetarian, Vegan, Low Carbohydrate, Teen Friendly, etc. You will be able to access your nutrition plan online, with your smart phone, laptop, iPad, etc. and exchange food items to your liking from a versatile exchange list that keeps the calorie count in the target range for your goals. A proper nutrition plan is key to staying on track and developing lasting healthy habits. These plans are not considered diets. They are practical, sustainable meal plans that allow you to eat what you want in moderation. The plans will help accomplish your health and weight loss goals and will allow you to actually eat! I love the positive change and energy that coexists with Personal Training. It happens daily and I find so much joy in that. I love watching confidence, strength, and trust build all while losing pounds, shedding inches, and creating lasting friendships.

Karen is the best! When I met her, i immediately knew that she heard my concerns, wishes, and wanted me to succeed. While she is very knowledgeable about techniques and has much experience in training, she made it clear that she wanted to support me in MY goals and success. And she does! She is a wonderful cheerleader for me and has taught me a lot about fitness and health as a general way of life that goes far beyond the gym. I feel like I am finally excited about fitness and I know Karen plays a huge role in that! I couldn't ask for a better trainer!

Karen is a dedicated personal training and each session is designed to move me forward towards my fitness goals. I have been working w/ her for close to two month and have lost about 5% fat and .5 inch reduction in size.

I have trained w Karen twice now and can tell she is the right trainer for me. She is positive, energetic, and really knows her stuff. I am so, so glad I found her! I would recommend her to anyone, but especially if you are an athlete.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    INDIVIDUAL & SMALL GROUP TRAINING Prices: INDIVIDUAL PRICES: 6 sessions = $75 / hour. 12 sessions = $70 / hour. 24 sessions = $65 / hour. I also specialize in small group training. This allows clients to not only work out with friends and family if they would like, but it can also keep the cost down. SMALL GROUP PRICES: 2 people: 6+ sessions = $40 / per person per hour. 12+ sessions = $35 / per person, per hour. 3-4 people: 6 sessions = $35 / per person, per hour. 12+ sessions = $30 / per person, per hour. INDIVIDUAL NUTRITION PLANS: $50 / month.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I offer COMPLIMENTARY BODY COMPOSITION MEASUREMENTS and circumference measurements. These are a great way to track progress throughout our time training together. These measurements will give your total lean body mass percentage, as well as your total body fat percentage. They are an excellent baseline for you on Day 1 of training. We can take these measurements as often as you would like. For example, sometimes people get frustrated when they don't see their weight dropping as quickly as they would like on the scale. However, body composition measurements can show that lean body mass is increasing (which is a great thing!) and total body fat is decreasing (yay!). It is an excellent way to stay motivated and on track. I will also do a COMPLIMENTARY ASSESSMENT regarding posture, possible muscle imbalances and compensations. It is simple, easy and quick. I will email you a short video of your assessment, as well as strength and corrective strategies to improve any imbalances. This assessment is quite helpful in maintaining proper alignment and posture. It is an INVALUABLE look at your own personal, individual needs and gives a few easy strength and stretching exercises that can help correct and strengthen muscles and any possible imbalances.
