FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
No...we charge based on two things - my time and what you'd like to purchase. In 2013 and 2014, we had a bunch of packages and bundles that we thought made our client's lives easier. It turned out to be the opposite! People didn't like the packages because they wanted to order what they wanted - no more, no less. Now, we charge a flat hourly fee for my time and get a spend commitment from clients. For example, a typical Senior High School shoot is $150 for my time, with a commitment from our client to spend $500. Being ala carte, we can add a fee for a designer to show up with wardrobe or a hair and make up person to work their magic on the senior. We have our pricing "menu" and parents can commit to whatever they'd like. For head shots and modeling work, it's a little different, but its basically the same - flat fee for my time plus a commitment to spend on prints.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and am studying for my CPP exam - Certified Professional Photographer. The Certified Professional Photographer (CPP) program from PPA assures others of a photographer's knowledge, experience and continuance to develop new skills and techniques. It combines a exam with photo submission and takes 6-9 months to complete the process.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Headshots for online profiles, model shots for online profiles and portfolios and high school senior headshots.
