Introduction
I offer advanced jazz and classical trumpet, advanced jazz and standard music theory and composition, and basic piano skills with an emphasis on chording.
I have experience in big band, jazz combo, orchestra, wind ensemble, and brass chamber ensemble performance. I currently run my own band, The Orchid Room, that features original jazz compositions. I can teach advanced performance skills and functional harmony, focusing on an integrative approach that combines music reading and comprehension, functional theory, listening and transcription skills, and basic piano skills and chording. I can teach musical skills to students of any instrument, but I teach specifics of trumpet and basic piano.
