FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
One flat price for tuning, includes pitch raise if needed. No charge for some common quick fixes like a few sticking keys or a squeaky pedal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Most appointments take about two hours. We’ll start with a quick talk about your piano, whatever issues you might be having and its overall condition, and then I’ll tune it up for you and address whatever else I can such as sticking keys, notes not working properly, squeaky pedals, etc., if time allows. Lastly we’ll arrange a follow up appointment if there are more extensive repairs or adjustments needed.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dave earned an associate degree in piano technology at North Bennet Street School in Boston. He has built pianos at the Mason and Hamlin factory in Massachusetts, and serviced pianos for Berklee College of Music.
