FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
You can self-schedule when looking me up, or you can speak with me and we can figure out a mutually agreed upon date and time for our appt. When scheduling, it helps to know what kind of piano, upright or grand, brand and model, and roughly how old. I can certainly show up to your home without any of this information, but it will help me be better prepared for a speedy but thorough visit. When visiting your home, I'll remove my shoes if asked, apply shoe covering if asked. Piano tunings are a bit more efficient when you've already removed all items off the top lid of your piano and music desk. Please make sure there aren't too many loud sounds occurring during our appointment. I can usually endure the distractions as long as sounds aren't blaring and constant, but I will certainly be more efficient and do a better job for you in a quieter setting. During our appt, I'll assess your piano before tuning, during tuning, and after tuning, running various "diagnostics" on what needs to be repaired, adjusted, or improved upon. I will never suggest work that doesn't need to be done. I take pride in offering fair prices for all of my services and will be as accurate as I can, upfront. No games.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20+ years of tuning, voicing, repair, and regulation experience with so many pianos, big and small.
