Piano Tuning

Great!! I have a piano from the 1800s that was so out of tune, it sounded like a street carnival piano. Ryan was patient and persistent and got it tuned, fixed a few broken parts and gave me options for basic or complete repairs. It plays beautifully now! Highly recommend!!

Piano Tuning

Ryan was very thorough and cared about my piano. He took his time as my equipment is really old; it now sounds like new!

Piano Tuning

Ryan did a great job tuning our piano! He was quick to respond to my inquiry, on time for our appointment and very professional. I also loved listening to him play when he was done as he tested everything out. :)

Piano Tuning

Ryan is very personable and tuned my very out of wack piano very quickly. I'm definitely going to use him again in the future.

Piano Tuning

I put in a request to have my piano tuned on Friday and on Sunday, Ryan from Ragtime Piano services came and tuned the piano. Great job and great price! Couldn't ask for more!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Standard tuning: $100 Pitch raise: $20 extra Additional repairs will be priced as necessary.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Scheduling a tuning is simple - you just give me a day & time that works, and I'm there. Standard tunings normally take between 1½ - 2 hours, depending on just how un-tuned your instrument is & the kind of care it has received over its life. For REALLY out-of-tune pianos, a longer and more intensive procedure called a "pitch raise" maybe necessary, which is just slightly extra. Our first appointment will include the tuning, dusting and repair assessment of your piano (if any repairs are needed), and it's always recommended that you tune your piano once a year to keep it in the best shape.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been (and am currently) a student of the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology, the highest rated & most attended school in this country of its kind. I have been tuning pianos all around the state of Colorado for over six years, and am also an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild.
