For the past 8 years, I taught Spanish at the college level (from absolute beginners to students with advanced language skills).
While I prefer a communicational approach to teach Spanish (with lots of interaction in the target language as well as a strong focus on acquiring vocabulary), I can accommodate you to best meet your needs.

Maria is kind, patient and very enjoyable. She is well prepared and is a competent teacher. She has lessons planned but is very flexible and tailors her teaching to your needs. Very individualistic approach to improving your spanish. Higly recommended

Maria has been FANTASTIC in helping me improve my Espanol. I chose her over several other teachers as she is a native speaker. I had spoke Spanish at an advanced level in high school, but haven't used it in years.
Maria is patient (and a saint!). After speaking a bit to get a sense for my vocabulary, use of verb tenses, etc. she created a multi-month framework for how we could work togehter.
My boyfriend is Colombian and he commented the other day how much better my Spanish has become over the last 5 weeks. I highly recommend Maria!!!

I've only been working with Maria for about 2 weeks (twice a week). Not very long, I know but long enough to feel comfortable recommending her to anyone who is serious about learning to speak Spanish. She doesn't get off track and tries hard to make the hour as productive as possible. Call her...you will learn.
