I am here for you, to support your needs for your journey (in body, mind and spirit). Though I'm not a doctor, I'm here to collaborate with your current healthcare provider's recommendations to lessen pain in your physical body, as well as to relieve stress mentally and emotionally.
I get so much joy from helping people find relief from pain in their bodies and minds. Yoga is a great tool for this.
Physically, I teach to spinal health. I am a huge fan of human anatomy + physiology, especially in yoga. I also believe meditation and breathing are effective ways to relieve stress, so I always try to incorporate this into every session. Building awareness is also a major part of why I love teaching yoga.

Kris's class kicked my butt! It was good to be pushed in new directions as it is easy to fall into the same old patterns in my home practice. While the class made me aware of muscles groups I was previously unaware of, the overall effect was balanced with meditation and breath work.

Kris is a wonderful yoga teacher. She stands apart because her focus is on longevity and proper alightment within the practice. She fine tunes each pose so it is safe and accessible for her students, while still maintaining a challenge. I look forward to her classes!

I asked Kris to work on opening my hips and quadriceps. She knew I was experiencing a hamstring injury and she skillfully lead me through a flow that negated pulling on my hamstrings-checking in with me often- while still giving time to strengthening them with attention to alignment. She also challenged me with really good hip openers and closed the practice in a meditation that felt accessible (I have some trouble with the meditation aspect of practice). Thanks Kris!!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am flexible, and I want to work with you! Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns with pricing.
Also, the larger the group, the less individualized it becomes. It is more of a private group class after 3 people.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Taking a thorough evaluation is the first step. I want to gather as much information as I can regarding your needs, any pain, your goals, and your lifestyle with NO judgement. I will take notes on all this and track your progress as we go. I may also send you a few documents to fill out before our first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I finished my 200-hour training in Chicago, and have studied almost 300 hours under Annie Carpenter (SmartFLOW Yoga), whose training focuses on spinal health and alignment. I've done 40 hours with Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers and have started my 500-hour advanced training with Yoga Medicine, a program based in Seattle, WA.
