About
Many students spend tons of frustrating hours fumbling over chords and notes because they do not know how to practice. I won't just show you WHAT to play and hope that you get it. I will teach you exactly HOW to practice whatever it is we are working on. Also, I taylor lessons to each student individually. As no two students are every the same, I never teach two students the exact same thing. Though I have a basic outline of what I teach, specific songs and exercises are picked for each student depending on their individual needs. Finally, I always come to work with a smile and a positive attitude. I make sure lessons are both fun and engaging. Watching a student grow. I love watching a student get over a big hurtle (a hard to play riff or chord) or progress to something they had previously thought impossible.

Robby was a great instructor who picked fun and new music to learn and play. He did a great job tailoring to what kind of music you like and teaching the style. He was also very flexible when it came to scheduling lessons and was able to accommodate my changing schedule. I only stopped going because I became too busy with work and school.

Robbie is a terrific teacher with a great method for enjoyable learning. He loves music, loves teaching it, playing it, being playful with it......He really has that great natural ability to make the complex simple and to get you to fully enjoy the parts that with other instructors have been tedious. He is one special, free spirited, guy whose enthusiasm is contagious. i have looked and worked with any number of guitar instructors and other teachers over the years. HE IS THE MAN.

Robby teaches guitar to my 7-year old daughter and she loves working with him. He is patient, knowledgeable and knows how to speak and work with kids. I highly recommend him to all ages, as I've spoken with adults he works with and they are happy with his approach to teaching guitar as well.

Robby is knowledgeable in his craft and has the knack for imparting that knowledge to others. He was able to see my point of view and tailor our sessions to what I wanted from guitar.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

When I was 13 I joined a rock band at Dave Simon's Rock School in St. Louis, Missouri. I had a great time but quit after one session because I was more advanced than the other kids in my group. A year later I got a call from Dave Simon asking if I wanted to teach some of their younger students and coach the beginner bands. I decided to give it a shot and quickly found out that I not only had a knack for teaching, but I really enjoyed it. I continued to teach all throughout high school and then when I moved to Denver in 2008 and started a studio of my own at the University of Denver music building. After graduating I moved to Broadway Music School, with a fantastic facility and musical community only minutes away from the University.
