3.12.15 • Customer calls JBJ and speaks with Ashley • JBJ Movers promised 4 men for 7 hours,1 trip =$968 4.4.15 • Laura calls to inform me that I need to pay cash because JBJ’s credit card carrier is multiple charging JBJ’s customers. • Movers (Mike, Henry, David) arrive hour late 11:00 am for 10:00 am start time. • They are using an Enterprise Rental 24’ truck for the move. • Mike explains that the original price quoted by Ashley is incorrect - and changes agreement to 9 hours = $1025 • 4-man crew on contract – never had 4 men at once on the move. Started with 3 (Mike, Henry, David) ended with 3 (Mike, Henry, new guy). • JBJ assured me all workers are licensed and JBJ employees – one worker (David) is neither. • Customer and Customer’s Wife stay at home all day and assist with move. • In the middle of the move (on drive to new home), Customer calls Laura to say the bank is not open for me to get cash. JBJ responds that that they will stop move – put all my belongings into storage and penalize me additional days for the truck – until I pay cash • Laura and Mike both work independently with owner (Joseph) to arrange other form of payment (check or credit card) on behalf of customer. Joseph refuses solutions citing “company policy.” • Laura works solution for Customer to pay with Credit card to finish the move. • First load of move arrives at Fort Collins home at approximately 6:00 pm. • All boxes are moved onto driveway of Fort Collins home instead of correct rooms in an effort to expedite the move. • Customer provides friend (Matt Faye) to assist with unloading of the truck. • Customer feeds the JBJ crew tacos. • JBJ crew leaves for Lakewood home to get all remaining items. • JBJ crew returns with ¼ truck full of bed frames at approximately 1:30 am • Mike assures me that Lakewood home is empty. Everything is moved. • Henry reassembles only two of three bed frames that JBJ disassembled in move. • Two bed frames are not disassembled and are compromised in the move. • Move takes 15 hours (finish at 2:30am), 2 trips = $1350. • Customer and Customer’s Wife repair and rebuild master bed from 2:30am-3:00am • Damaged items: (est. loss minimum $1,500 to replace) o beds, o bookshelves, o desks, o chairs, o couches, o file cabinet, o mattresses. • Customer signs last line of contract and all 3 JBJ movers leave with driveway full of our stuff so Customer moves all articles left in driveway into garage. • Approximately 20% of boxes never made it into the new home 4.5.15 • Customer returns to Lakewood home for final vacuum and cleaning. • Found bag of marijuana at Lakewood home in the garage left by the movers. • Items left behind: o hose racks, o support pipes, o floor mats, o dust pan, o garbage can, o sprayer, o gas can, o water glasses, o retainer case, o fish tank filter, o pitcher, o shells, o Tilex, o full refrigerator o full freezer, o door off hinges, o hammer, o 2 TV wall mounts, o container lids, o door mounts for shoe rack, o bird house, o shoes. 4.7.15 • Customer’s Wife calls Joseph and expresses dissatisfaction with move and concern that the crew was under the influence of marijuana and ask for refund and Joseph hangs up on Customer’s Wife. • Customer’s Wife speaks with Laura – Laura shows concern and asks for feedback regarding crew performance and for text message of photos of damage. Customer’s Wife does not send because there are too many photos. • Customer leaves voice mail for Laura to express dissatisfaction and ask for refund and gets no call back. • Customer sends all pictures via email to JBJ. • Customer petitions American Express to stop payment. 5.21.15 • Phone call from Steve (Attorney for JBJ and Joseph’s uncle) threatening legal action if not paid in full with cash in next 20 minutes. They explain that I have signed all contracts and that they win every time in court because of their refined contract. They promise to make the move right if/when I pay cash. • I pay cash to JBJ that afternoon and agree to use their systems to repair long list of damaged property. 5.26.15 • Customer resends all pictures of damaged property to JBJ 5.26.15 through 6.4.15 • Volley of emails to arrange for their service repair man “Gale” and final comment is a promise to confirm July 20th as a date for Gale to come fix our broken items. 6.28.215 • Still no word on when Gale is coming.

This company and it's owners are the worst individuals and business we have ever dealt with. As we have began our research in prep for litigation and from personal experiences; lies, theft, and extortion are their modus operandi. I highly advise any consumer to check the reviews of this company on the Better Business Bureau's web page. Our police report and court summons are in the works now against these disreputable individuals and company.
JBJ Movers, Inc.'s reply

It probably depends on which employees do the moves but my move was a disaster and I wouldn't recommend them. They did settle with me for the washer, but did nothing about my antique mirror, computer desk, (which is particle board that you sign a release for, but I had moved it 8 times previously with no problems), and damage to the wood on the front and bottom of my entertainment center.
