FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Each home is unique and no two jobs are ever the same, so it makes pricing especially difficult to pinpoint. Our preferred method is to see for ourselves the area and make the assessment accordingly. However, this isn't always possible so these are some of the things we consider when making bids. Interior painting requires more prep work and masking to ensure clean, even lines and will require more time and labor. We also consider the square footage of walls, trim boards, doors and jams, windows and ceiling height.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We work with several paint and supply companies to find the best products to use and we consult with our Sherwin Williams sales rep whenever we have questions of our own. We get information about new techniques and the latest in professional tools and equipment from these sources, fellow professionals in the field, and our own research & development.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
An apprenticeship was available and I was looking for a career change. I studied and worked with 2 mentors for 5 years before working on my own. I've been doing business as a professional painter for over 13 years. -- Lawrence
