I never allow my clients to perform bad technique during a workout. I taylor the intensity or range of motion to allow full control during any movement. EVERY trainer I've seen here in Fort Collins allows their clients to practice bad technique either because the trainer doesn't know any better or they have just given up on trying. I am also different because I break down the lifts or exercises and educate my clients on the mechanics and anatomy behind the technique. All my clients would agree with this. I enjoy teaching as much as I do working out myself. Seeing a client react to learning something new or overcoming an obstacle is amazing. I feel more like a coach than I do a trainer, and it is my job to prepare people for the real world

WARNING: Lengthy Review Follows...but please read! I've had the pleasure of being able to train with Joe over the past few months, and there is a lot to say about what he can do for you. A little backstory about me, I came from a military background and had plenty of experience in the gym, so I thought myself pretty well read in that environment... but after months of stagnation and poor results, I finally decided to reach out and get the help of a personal trainer. I spent a few weeks looking around, and hearing the various pitches given to me, but none seemed to truly stand out. That was until Joe reached out to me. He gave a great pitch, but I'm always a little skeptical reading things online, so it was not until I met Joe that I knew he could deliver what he promised. Joe is a personal trainer unlike any I have had before (and yes I have had a few). He approaches each client individually and really custom tailors a program to what it is you're looking for. You want someone who is going to kick our butt and help you shed those pounds, Joe's your guy. You want someone who is going to teach you fundamental principles to build a foundation for weight lifting, Joe's your guy. Ultimately Joe does an amazing job of really finding out what is you want, and delivering on those goals and ambitions. I'm someone who loves to learn, so he constantly strives to teach me as we go through sessions, and is not just going through the motions. Most personal trainers just run you through the gambit of exercise to help you lose weight, or build, muscle, etc. But what you fail to realize is they never truly teach you why you're doing the things you're doing, and in doing so, make you reliant on them. Joe made it clear from the get go that he has always been about teaching his clients, and that's a very important thing. You're going to walk away with knowledge that will definitely help you in the long run. Understanding why you do the things you do will help you stay on course longer, and that has definitely been the case for me. But hey, not all of us care so much about learning about muscle groups and what not, and many may be looking for a trainer that will just kick their butt into shape. Well... I'm here to say that Joe is also that guy! On the days we don't have our sessions, he has given me workouts that absolutely kick my butt, and when we are in our sessions, he is constantly driving me to push myself (but never in a way that feels uncomfortable). Everything always feels like its in my control, and that is also a huge plus. What you're going to get with Joe... is a personal training experience unlike any other. Joe is more of a coach than anything, and his unique background and skill set allow him to help you meet any goal you have your mind set on. But don't take my word for it, come and meet him yourself, I promise you will not be disappointed! My Results: Over 2 months, I have lost over 10 pounds (and that's still while trying to figure out a diet that works for me), 2 inches off my waist, and increased my weightlifting ability by over 30% (which is huge for a guy like me). We are still working, but I'm confident by the end my time with Joe, the results will be even greater!

I have been training with Joe since October 2016 and he has been such an amazing trainer. The first day I met with him we sat down and talked about my goals and what I want to accomplish. I have met goals so far with him. I have lost weight and I am slimming down which I wanted to do and I hit my weight we set before I went home for Christmas break. Since I am on Christmas break he made a work out plan for me to do the days I normally trained with him to keep me on track. He loves to teach techniaque which I never thought was important before but now training with him I understand why it is. I have had multiple trainers who do not care about injuries and actually meeting your goals. I train 3 times a week with him and I look forward to it every time. He also has HIIT workouts for me to do on my own on Tuesday and Thursday. He pushes me to do my best and gives such great encouragement. I really recommend him if you are looking for a great trainer who cares about his clients and meeting their goals. I will be training with him when I get back in January.

My experience training with Joe Munson has been nothing but beneficial. I have received nothing but top of the line instruction, and noticeable results just in a matter of a few weeks. Joe is a very down to business - get it done kind of guy, which I love most about him. He has motivation for me when I don't have any for myself, and he pushes me to the best I can be each and everyday. The Body (the gym), itself is a very secluded environment which makes a perfect setting for 1on1 training. Overall, Joe Munson, and The Body are both recommendable on my part and I will continue with both until need be.

I've been training with Joe for over a month now and its been a great experience. He has been very thorough and patient in teaching me not only proper lifting techniques but also the dangers that are associated with rigorous physical activity. I have seen tremendous improvement in my fitness levels since starting with Joe.

Being mid-way through my training period with Joe, I wanted to share my experience. Joe is everything he says in his quote and in his profile. He is passionate about training and teaching you the right way to understand, approach, and execute each element of your workout. No session is the same and challenges you to be better every time. Since I am a woman over 50 who had no consistent exercise regimen, I was looking for someone who was flexible and patient in their approach. Joe is exactly what I was seeking. I won't tell you I am excited before every session, but I am beginning to embrace becoming fit/healthy with better balance and flexibility. I recommend Joe - his philosophy, passion, and encouragement can't be matched.
