FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have a flat hourly rate per man as we don't enjoy surprising people with hidden fees. We do not charge for climbing stairs nor trip fees. If you need additional items such as boxes or packing materials we will quote you that price before any work starts. If we do go over the time quoted, we charge to the quarterly hour, not the full hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Almost every move is different. I like to ask a few key questions to get an idea of what kind of move they need. Once I get a basic understanding we'll talk about the types of items to be moved and the most efficient way to do it. If it's a relatively simple move I can give a pretty fair assessment of the time and manpower involved. If it's a large move then quite often we'll have someone come over to give an estimate in person. That way we can identify any possible challenges and solve them even before we start.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was raised in a military family and served in the Navy as well. There were many things I learned in those environments that I carry on in my day to day life as well as my work. Top among those is attention to detail, efficiency, and respect. I've also been in the construction industry and a foreman for over 25 years. I understand how to get the most productivity from my crews and how to see a job to it's end as efficiently as possible. By respecting my crew members and recognizing that along with competitive pay, they remain loyal to the company and excel at their trade. Not to mention the pride they take in it as well.
