Introduction: I've owned my own real estate company for the past 12 years, but I'm very interested in a career change.
I've been a writer/editor my entire career. I started as a newspaper reporter in Pueblo, CO, and later became a editor in the sports department. I moved to Las Vegas in the late 80s, could't find a newspaper job, so I became a advertising copywriter for a large advertising agency.
I spent two years in Las Vegas then moved to San Diego, CA, where I started my marketing career. I was a corporate publications writer and editor for a Fortune 500 company before moving back to Denver in 1990.
My last corporate job was with the Gates Rubber Company, where I started as a copywriter and eventually became the Director for three Marketing Divisions. I left the corporate would in 1997 and became a Realtor, which I what I've done for the past 12 years. I own my own company, and I do all of my marketing, including print, Internet, Social Media, etc.
I'm ready for a career change and would love to get back in the writing/editing business. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism, and I received my MBA in 1994. I have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and I have great respect for my clients and people who "work" for (with) me. Thanks for your consideration. Julie Montgomery
