Introduction
While my passion and primary service offered is customized cakes for birthdays, weddings and other events. I also have the experience for a full catering service (savory and sweet). When it comes down to it- Desserts are my passion and my niche. I can't break away from the sweets. All of my products are homemade with the freshest possible ingredients. I have spent years perfecting my recipes and gather recipes passed down through my grandmother and great-grandmother. Sweet treats have always been my passion. Baking brings me such joy. I never get tired of the science behind a good recipe. Increasing or decreasing one ingredient by 1/2 a teaspoon can change the final product dramatically - and sometimes create something uniquely new and wonderful (or the opposite). I enjoy every minute of creating a cake or dessert- from buying the ingredients, to putting the icing on the cake, to delivering and seeing the happiness of the customer when they see the final product. I've chosen an incredibly fun industry and I couldn't imagine doing anything else.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    My typical process with a customer begins with a quote and during the first initial contact, I try and explain my pricing and how things work/what's included in the pricing. Depending on the event, we can set up a tasting. A time to sit down in person to sample flavors, discuss design and execution of the product. Usually at this time everything is finalized. For events such as weddings, changes can be made up until 2 weeks before the event. In most cases, I will deliver and set up the product for serving (price depends on distance and size of service). Payment is required at delivery.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I've been in the food service industry for over 10 years. I've done everything from catering to concessions to fine dining and fast paced restaurants. I studied at Johnson & Wales University, earning my degrees in Baking &Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, and Nutrition (minors in food science and dietetics). I have spent time learning from other fantastic chefs in order to improve my skills by working at iconic Denver foodscene places as: Panzano, Mermaid's Bakery, Steubens Uptown, & Glacier Homemade Ice Cream.
