Introduction: Much of my background has resulted from writing and editing for major newspapers, including the Wichita (KS) Eagle, the Denver (CO) Post and the Pacific Stars & Stripes, and also the Tokyo Bureau of Associated Press. I was co-publisher of three books for attorneys and judges, one of which was purchased by the Colorado Bar Assn. and now pays us occasional royalties. I have produced dozens of periodical newsletters for public and private sector organizations, as well as speeches, brochures and advertisements for political candidates and referendum sponsors. My university major was creative writing.
