- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Some IT shops will tell you "problems like yours" usually cost about "X" amount of dollars; then you find out yours is the exception that took twice the time and double the cost. It is important to understand that industry standards generally dictate service rates and bench fees; and most reputable IT companies carry an hourly rate between $100-$150 and a similar menu of service costs (for things like tune ups, fixes and builds). When charging by the hour, ContactPC runs between $100-$135 depending whether we are onsite or providing service remotely. Ultimately, we usually come in below the competition because we work swift and smart.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
ContactPC makes it a priority to make our process as simple and pain free as possible. We can come to you, you can come to us or we can work remotely. We don't believe in surprises and keep our clients informed on their technical diagnoses and what it will take to get their systems back to great. We also offer new business clients a complimentary one hour onsite evaluation.
