They were great to work with from start to finish. They provided a reasonable quote in a short amount of time, were clear about what they were doing, communicated well and the work itself is great! They even made sure that before they left that we were satisfied with the job. We were not planning on spending money on this project this year but it became a necessity and we are so glad we chose One Way!

One Way Roofing had the fastest response of the 4 companies I contacted thru Thumbtack. They also had the lowest price. Overall impression is that they are old school, no nonsense, respond fast and do quality work. P.S. I am finding success with Thumbtack. This is the second time I have used the ap. First time was a furnace issue and found a good company that responded quickly and fixed the problem.

Details: Soffit or fascia needs to be repaired or replaced • Single-level building • 11 - 20 years old • Clay or concrete tile • No, the project is not covered by an insurance claim • Residential

I should have looked at the reviews on website before agreeing to work with Alan. He requested a photo of what I wanted which I did. He sent his boys to my house. The boys took a photo of what I wanted. Alan’s boys went and bought the items which he finally claimed that it is not on the contract and refused finishing the job. If you are signing up with this company, do not be surprise if you see a different thing done at the end. I was transparent in what I am looking for but he had a hidden agenda. Home owners be careful having anything to do with Alan. Make sure every single print of your request is spelled out in his contract since photo does not count. I will never recommend or use this company again .

Details: Remodel or renovation of existing deck or porch • I have the plans and just need the installation • Wood decking • Residential

One Way Roofing & Remodeling's reply
Thank you for your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry you feel disappointed, because our goal on every project is to deliver quality work and clear communication. For clarity, I want to share a few important details of the project so future customers understand the full context: • Pricing was agreed upon collaboratively. You felt the original $6,000 estimate was high, so I asked what range you were comfortable with. You suggested $3,500–$5,000. I reduced the price to $5,000, and we ultimately agreed together on $4,500, which was documented in the signed contract. • Deck dimensions were based on your measurements. The contract specified a 4’ x 11’ deck based on the measurements you provided. After work began, you asked for the deck to extend to the end of the bay window (approximately 4’ x 14’). Although this exceeded the contracted size, I only charged $500 to cover the additional materials and labor. • Lattice was not part of the contract. The proposal and signed agreement did not include lattice installation. After the project was completed, you asked for lattice, and I explained that adding it would require additional materials and labor. I simply could not install it for free. • We also performed extra work at no charge. My crew removed several bushes and cleaned up additional items as a courtesy, without adding any cost to your invoice. Throughout the project, we did our best to be flexible, fair, and responsive. I’m sorry the misunderstanding about lattice overshadowed the completed work, because we take pride in what we built. For anyone who would like to see the finished deck, I’ve added a Portfolio project in my Profile Gallery titled “4x14 Deck Build – Bay Window Extension – Colorado Springs.” If you ever decide you’d like lattice added, I’m always happy to discuss a fair price and schedule. Thank you again for the opportunity to work on your loop project. — Alan Marley One Way Roofing & Remodeling, LLC
