FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I try to keep things simple, and set prices per hour plus a session fee. There are no per-photo fees or other surprises. I give a discount if you are willing to travel to a location convenient for me.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by choosing a time and place to hold the photo session. Once all the details are settled, I'll send you a contract for e-signature, and an electronic invoice to collect a deposit. On the day of shoot, we'll meet up at our location, and start taking pictures! I make it a point to keep shoots lively, fun, and fast-moving. I'll constantly be telling stories, suggesting poses, and encouraging you to share your own ideas. After the shoot, I'll select the best shots, perform a basic editing pass. I will then send you a Dropbox link with watermarked thumbnails for you to review. You may ask for additional adjustments, different cropping, etc. Once you're satisfied with the photos, simply pay the remaining balance, and I'll upload the full-resolution photos to your same Dropbox link.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been interested in photography since watching my father with his film camera as a child. I got into it myself around when the first digital cameras started coming out. It remained a hobby for many years until I recently decided to leave my job as a software engineer & project manager to pursue it as a business.
