This review is coming from someone with previous martial arts experience. Coming from a an experience of family MMA style dojo, Coryson's Dojo was a breath of fresh air. At Coryson's you get a more personal training with small classes so there is opportunity to learn the things you are interested in. There are many different paths of Ninpo and Corysan has the knowledge and skill to teach you the traditional way and let you work on your own strengths. He also has a flexible schefule and is almost always ready to train. The dojo has a variety of ninja tools and weapons and he is always adding new things. The best part about Coryson's Dojo is the knowledge you take away from it. There are very few places in the US where ypu can learn real Ninpo and this is one of them. I can personally say that learning and practicing ninpo has improved my life in all assets.
Dave is a great instructor. I have learned tons from him. He is able to teach all levels of martial arts. I have had instruction form all over this great country and he is one of the best. He breaks every move down nice and slow to make sure no student gets hurt and so they understand the moves. Under his instruction I have never seen the gladiator style that I have seen in many other gyms. Again he makes sure his students learn in a safe friendly environment.
As a trainer in the fitness industry I hold a high standard for any Fitness professional that I would hire personally. Brett Hart is an expert in his field and truly gives his all to his clientele. He knows how to vary the intensity to match the efforts of a first-timer or a seasoned athlete. He is personable, well-organized, flexible in his scheduling and inspirational in his approach. I would highly recommend Brett for one-on-one, small group or large group kickboxing conditioning, martial arts and self defense training.
Vanessa is an excellent self defense teacher. She is personable and most knowledgeable. We are most grateful for her training!
Seriously Joey offers the best workouts ever! Highly energizing and you will learn the best self defense moves through lessons with Joey. I have learned proper self defense tactics and always get a great intense workout every time. His gym is awesome and has a large martial arts area and free gloves to use too! I highly recommend Joey and his teachings. Highly valuable information and a ton of fun! I would recommend him to anyone!
Great trainer and fitness genious! It worked for me! Very personable and helpful. His heart is in the right place, and that is to get you what You want, to be fit and happy.
I have practice and studied Martial Arts for 20 years as of May this year. C-KS is the best martial art I have ever trained. I will carry the lessons from The instructor and C-KS for all of my days. YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER COMBAT AND MARTIAL ARTS SYSTEM .!.
I have been going to Rocky Mountain Self Defense and Fitness since 2009. John is an excellent teacher. He always makes class fun and challenging at the same time. His knowledge of Krav Maga is very extensive. Its very difficult to find a Krav Maga instructor who is a 2nd Degree black belt. I have studied several methods of Martial Arts and even have a black belt in one of them but have not felt confident about defending myself until I joined Rocky Mountain Self Defense and Fitness and learned Krav Maga. I highly recommend it especially for women.
I've trained at Competitive Edge for over eight years. Scott's strengths are motivation and teaching. Classes are well thought out and if the students put in the effort they see measurable results. Scott has the unique ability to make the training relevant to other parts of life in general and gives students confidence that goes beyond the physical training.
Luis is a great Trainer. He makes you feel motivated and pushes you to do your best. He is a good Trainer and definitely knows what he is doing.

She has an exceptional ability to teach you in way that has you push yourself to do better than before. I love my class' with her.

Aikido of Denver "Doushin Juku" is a martial arts training center located in Denver. Our dojo's base philosophy is rooted in the traditional principles of Japanese martial arts budo, a way of achieving self-improvement through sincere martial arts practice. Our school's name, Doushin Juku, means the school of path to the heart. The name Doushin was given to our chief instructor Albright Sensei by Masando Sasaki Sensei (1929-2013), one of the direct disciples of the founder of aikido Morihei Ueshiba.
Ohana Martial Arts Corporation is a family focused martial arts school operating in Firestone, CO. We teach International Kenpo Karate Jujitsu, a modern and practical martial art focused on natural movement, making it accessible to anyone.
I have over 45 years experience in classical and modern martial arts. The teaching methods I use transmit useful and functional techniques that are easy to learn and remember. I teach for the deep love I have for martial arts, and I especially enjoy sharing all of the benefits that marital arts training has to offer! I love teaching and seeing students "get it" and having that "aha" moment.
If you want to change your body, simply go workout. If you want to change your life, come learn Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo with us. We have classes six days a week for both kids and adults in a safe, fun and clean environment. We do not use membership contracts.
My method of training is the reason clients see results very quickly. Within weeks a strong basic understanding of movement is attained from learning "circuit motion" with a partner. In this case that will be me. A martial arts version of "patty cake", where two people synchronize hand positions with each other through continuous repititious clapping of each others hands (or sticks) I love helping people take the high road to understanding martial arts from a perspective that is, you could say, to the right of traditional views.
General Martial Arts Classes: We offer a wide variety of Taekwondo classes for children, families, and adults, depending on age, skill, and desires. We start with our Little Tigers Class, a special class for preschoolers that teaches balance, coordination, safety, and many other skills through basic martial arts movements. Most students will enter our beginner's classes, where they will learn martial arts basics and gain the fundamental skills and conditioning needed to be successful in our other classes. We also have a special Lady Tigers program for moms and women who can train while their children play together. Our adult or family classes offer many different students the opportunity to practice together at the same time. Specialized Martial Arts Classes: Our specialized classes include the Competition Team, where students prepare themselves for all levels of Olympic-style sparring competition. They may also choose to join the Demonstration Team, where they will learn high-flying extreme martial arts techniques (i.e. XMA) and perform at venues such as the Pepsi Center, Invesco Field, the Aurora Mall, Starbucks, and more. We also teach a weapons class where students can learn the basics of martial arts weapons. We also offer a street defense class, giving students the opportunity to be prepared to stay safe in all situations. Advanced students can also take instructor training classes to take their knowledge of martial arts to the next level. Three Components of Practice: At our main headquarters for the Korean Academy of Taekwondo (KAT) in Aurora, Colorado, we focus on three main areas of martial arts - traditional Taekwondo, sport Taekwondo, and practical self-defense. The most traditional aspects of Taekwondo are taught throughout our curriculum where students learn discipline, self-control and self-confidence while training hard and working their way up through the belt ranks, by learning World Taekwondo Federation (WTF) forms (poomses), kicks, hand techniques, defensive step sparring, and ground defense grappling. KAT is proud to teach the WTF Olympic-style sparring, where two players, one red, one blue, put on full protective pads and spar against each other to gain points by kicking or punching the other player's chest protector (Hogu) and in adult divisions by kicking to the protected head. The match is continuous (not stopped by scoring a point), which teaches players important counter attack strategies and promotes match flow. Practical self-defense is an important aspect to our training at KAT. Standing defense is made up of basic kicks, hand techniques and Hapkido joint manipulations. Sprawling, control, clinching, and falling techniques are taught as the transitional techniques between standing defense and ground defense. Ground defense is especially important because many fights can go to the ground. To train for this, KAT offers a comprehensive grappling curriculum, which begins with how to fall and roll safely and works through dominant positioning and submission techniques. Pre-mixed martial arts (MMA) mixed sparring/grappling is offered but not required for belt advancement.
We are a local martial arts studio and an open gym during the day to focus on classes, group workouts, personal one-on-one training, nutrition help and program design.
I teach both music and martial arts. It's a weird combo, I know, but it's what I love! I teach rock, metal and classical guitar styles. I teach most Korean martial arts.
