FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly learning. Constantly!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have a degree in photography, film, theater and television. When cameras stopped using film and everyone closed up their "darkrooms", I had to relearn the trade. The more I learned the programs required, the more I was amazed at the power of the computer and the magnificence of the results. Usually, I am more amazed than the clients.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs are just to remove a small tear here and there and some stains. Simple. But we have had people come to us with 3/4 of a photo. That's when we have to get creative. We have them bring more photos of the missing person's head from that same era and we rebuild the whole photo. Sometimes people just want some color, sometimes they want the photo more vibrant because it has faded or sometimes we pull couples out of a mundane photograph and re-position them on a beach in Hawaii. We have done mock movie posters, personal videos for milestone birthdays and anniversaries and turned a plain looking portrait into one that's glamorous! If you can dream it - we can do it!
