Nick's guy Ron was great! They worked with our budget and really got the crowd going. I would definitely hire him again. He had any song we wanted! Thanks guys.
Your jazz band was even better than what we were hoping for! It added just the touch we wanted - and such a fun group! Thank you! Can't wait to hear you again.
Miguel has been playing guitar for over 6 years and he progressed very fast within the two years that he took lessons from me at St. Henry's Community Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After his two years, I requested that he become a guitar instructor at St. Henry's. He maintained an average of 10 students per week. Through teaching, Miguel was able to grasp a better foundation of music theory and sight reading. Miguel also played guitar in various high school jazz bands. Those experiences took his playing and knowledge of music to an even higher level. Miguel continues to teach students from beginners to intermediate to professional levels. If you are looking for a guitar teacher who can take your playing to a new level, give Miguel a call and start playing like you always dreamed of.
I took piano lessons from Gary for years and his program is fantastic. I learned to play the piano through songs that I loved, which made me want to continue with lessons as a kid. I am in college now and I still play the piano. Also, his rockonamerica program was a wonderful experience. I got to play rock music in a band with other kids my age. It was way cooler than any piano recital. I would definitely recommend taking music lessons with Gary; his lessons were a lot of fun and years later I still retain what I learned.
Jimmy has been our daughters Long time bass instructor along with bass guitar and ukulele. Has enabled her to excel in her school orchestra along with Jazz band. He has brought the best out of her and is primary reason she sticks with it
Sean and his band provided ideal lively jazz music at a local event. They were super easy to communicate with beforehand, and they played beautifully to a large very appreciative crowd. I strongly recommend them.
Nicky D was perfect for my Dad's 70th birthday party. He quickly adjusted to the mood of the crowd and everyone loved him. He was very accommodating with requests and incredibly easy to work with. I can't recommend him enough, especially with an older group of people. Many thanks to him for classic entertainment, and a great alternative to a DJ or band. At a great price to boot!
My husband James and I had the privilege of having Spencer and Sequoia perform at our wedding at a winery in Virginia this summer. It would be a huge understatement to say we were SO pleased with how everything went!!! Spencer and Sequoia were amazingly professional and joyful to work with and super gracious with everything. It was the first time I had worked with a band of any kind so from the second we signed a contract, they were extremely responsive of our needs and questions, provided a very lengthy and diverse song list and even said they would be willing to learn song requests for a nominal fee. Because they're based out of New York, they had to make the long drive the morning of and were totally on board to work with our tomeline and the venue set up. They were also super self sufficient so we didn't have to worry about providing them equipment as they assured us they had everything they needed and required little set up time which proved to be true. We had them perform during our ceremony, cocktail hour AND reception but they did it like champs and our guests could not stop raving about how great they sounded! Not only were they just downright talented, they were a pleasure to have around as well. At one point, my nephew who sung a song for us was experiencing technical difficulties with his sound system so Spencer right away let him use his, which was a total lifesaver. Bottom line- customer service is beyond amazing with this lovely husband wife pair and we are so happy and grateful we could have them be a part of our special day. THANK YOU Spencer & Sequoia!
Soulful Sounds were the perfect choice for our son's graduation party! It was an amazing night with thunderstorms, rainbow & music ! They played to a large gathering of over a 100 people. A very professional band who adjusted to the situation and played remarkably. Highly recommend!
Jonathan and his and band played at my birthday party.Omg, it was beautiful. My guests were wondering where I had heard them play and could not believe I just discovered them online. We had the dinner hour under such ambience, it felt like we were in an expensive lounge! If I need a band, I will definitely be calling Jonathan again!!! *Ps. I had a last minute request for an additional song and they made it happen!!
I had started getting into Latin music a little over a year ago when I met first met Nick Herman. Originally, I tried to learn to play Latin percussion (congas, bongos, timbales etc.) from books and instructional videos. I also tried lessons with a few different musicians. I was at it for months, however, I found my progress to be very slow. Eventually, I confronted Nick about lessons. After only 5 lessons, my bongo playing had improved exponentially! I would play my bongos with other musicians in the park and after one or two songs, many people would compliment me on my playing. One night I played a duet with a guitarist who would compliment me on my playing after every song. Later, I came to find out he was the leader of a salsa band who frequently performed around the city! Shortly after that I made Nick my official trainer on the bongos and cowbell! Nick Herman also leads his own band. I think anyone who is serious about learning Latin percussion would benefit greatly by having Nick as an instructor. I wish I had began lessons with him sooner!
Going to Rock Band 101 made me feel free to express myself through music. Fred Kimmel is an amazing leader and he cares very much about what he does and is very reliable. Fred is very trustworthy and works great with everyone. I had the time of my life playing live shows and practicing with everyone in Rock Band 101. Rock Band 101 is also a great way to meet new people who share the same passion for music. Great experience led by a great person!
A CUT ABOVE THE REST Laura and I just wanted to take a moment and let your customers know what a big part John, Vinnie and Susie (The A-List Band) had in making our wedding a memorable one. From the pre-ceremony to the last song of the evening, you guys were fantastic. We received nothing but positive feedback from our guests as well. We all felt like you guys were really enjoying yourselves. I want to especially thank you guys for the time you took to work with me on the song WE did for Laura. It was a moment we will cherish for a lifetime. I am glad we met that afternoon while seeing you perform at the Beach, We look forward to seeing you guys again! Thanks -Matt & Laura
On behalf of the March of Dimes, I want to thank you for the wonderful entertainment that the Noteworthy Band provided at our Signature Chef's Auction, held on October 23, 2017. The band's blend of music was enjoyed by all, and added to the atmosphere at the event. Your professionalism was appreciated and your help with social media was amazing. Looking forward to next year!
Helene was my piano teacher from kindergarten through high school. She taught me how to read, understand, play and love music. Furthermore, my early -and in-depth- start with piano prepared me for years of trumpet in various advanced bands. Although I am not currently taking lessons, I still sit down to play piano whenever I get the chance. I'll play anything from Bach to Beethoven to Josh Groban to new and classic Disney - really anything I'm in the mood for. Helene's teaching has made me proficient enough in piano and music in general such that I can truly enjoy playing. Thanks Helene!!
Here at the Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts, I've had a number of opportunities to work with Ms. Kelly as a solo act and with her bands, in all of our different venues. Always professional, on time and a pleasure to work with! And musically outstanding as well!
We are a reggae band from out of Suffolk County, New York. We play covers, with our spin on it at times, and originals. We play in parties, benefits, club dates, etc.
My experience and who I am associated with and backround speaks for itself..

We are a dynamic, diverse, ultra-professional Latin ensemble with a sizzling sound that blends traditional Latin, Afro-Cuban, Caribbean and Brazilian music with the sophistication of jazz. We have a great following mainly because we've established ourselves as unique from the more typical Latin bands. We're known for taking familiar love songs from legendary artists such as Stevie Wonder and The Beatles, and putting our refreshing Latin spin on them. We are truly passionate about what we do and take great care in customizing our song list and presentation to fit your exact venue or event. If you want "Caliente" and dancing, we never fail! We do it all - cha-cha, merengue, salsa, bachata, etc. If you want it more reserved and ambient, we can provide a smooth, more sophisticated sound to create the perfect backdrop for a more formal event. Check out the comments on our website from people who see us live. Let us bring something completely out of the ordinary and fantastic to your venue or event!
Los Chamanes is a musical group serving a fusion rooted in Nueva Cancion and Latin-American folklore, with flavors of jazz, rock and blues that was born from the spirit of friendship between these Chilean expatriates in NYC, a nostalgia for the magic of the Andes and their native culture. In September 2008, they released Conjurostheir first albumavailable on digital downloads and CD. Initially, the band interpreted songs from authors of Argentina and Chile such as Fito Páez, Violeta Parra, Peteco Carabajal, Victor Jara, Congreso, etc. With time, they have increasingly combined their own compositionswhich now represent almost all of their repertoirethrough which they hope to guide their listeners to reflect on issues such as our behavior as a species and social injustice through the healing and inspiring power of music and poetry. Los Chamanes hold a residency monthly at Terraza in Queens, and have entertained at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe and for the Chile Independence yearly event in Randall's Island. They were the opening act of the concerts of Mariana Baraj and Fernando Ubiergo, and have appeared in various "peñas" (folkloric shows), cafés, restaurants and events in the NY Tri-State area. In 2009, they were on a tour twice in Puerto Rico. They performed at the Noche de Viaje Cultural, at an event organized by the Chilean community in association with the city and in Old San Juan. They were invited at the TV show, Buenas Noches con Silverio on Canal 13 and on 2 radio shows of the University of PR. They've recently contributed to various benefits for the victims of the tsunami and earthquake in Chile.
