I have always hated math and have memories of being yelled at to finish my homework and being in tears because I simply did not understand it. This fear of math started in elementary school and carried itself all the way to college where I had to start in remedial math courses. I now am in the process of studying for a big test and needed help to develop the skills needed to do well on the math portion. Peter was able to simplify the process so that I could better understand this basic math. He never made me feel bad when I had to count with fingers, yikes! I feel I have improved greatly in just the 2 sessions we've had. I'm very excited to improve even more! Who knew I'd come to be excited for a math lesson! Thank you Peter.

Eve was an outstanding tutor for the ISEE. We hired her with just 6 weeks to go until the test - we had been using a New Haven-based tutoring company that just was not doing the job - in that very short period of time Eve managed to coach our daughter from the middle of the pack (ISEE steniles 4 and 5) toward the top (stiles 6 and 7). Plus she was very flexible about scheduling and was amenable to meeting our daughter in New Haven. We only wish we'd enlisted her sooner! We will definitely seek her assistance for our next set of test preps!

I've worked with Mr.Dolan for SAT prep and he was very helpful in teaching me new ways of finding the answer and teaching ways to study for the SAT.

I am so pleased to have worked with College Planning Partnerships! Their experience, clarity, and excellent tutors really made the difference for me and helped me achieve my desired score. Before, I struggled with pacing and understanding what the test was really looking for. However, the sessions I took helped create a step-by-step plan that I would follow for each section. The help I received was specific to my needs and weaknesses on the test. They did not teach the test as if there was a set formula to doing well. My tutors were very encouraging and motivating. Also, after each session, my tutors provided extensive feedback to myself and my parents on my performance during the session. This was invaluable information. They had more faith in my abilities than I did! I would highly recommend College Planning Partnerships to anyone in need of SAT or ACT prep.

Joan tutored our daughter for approximately a year, principally in preparation for the ACT English and Reading sections. She has now just started to work with our son. Joan is a superb tutor. She has a remarkable command of the subject matter and is a patient and skilled teacher. From day one, she had a well thought out plan to improve my daughter's core skills and she worked methodically with her week to week to ensure her success. As a result, my daughter absolutely crushed the English and Reading Sections on the ACT. This fall my daughter is heading off to an Ivy League school. Joan's skill and professionalism were important factors in helping my daughter achieve the sorts of test scores needed to be a serious candidate at the most highly selective schools. She has earned my strongest recommendation.

T. Fields was great! My son decided last minute to take the June SAT after his May SAT score wasn’t what he had hoped. He had about 8 days to prep. Tristan responded right away & was willing to work with what we wanted. No set minimum of sessions, no sales pitch. My son met with him 3 times, and Tristan’s knowledge of the test was impressive! He has such insight, tips & targeted help- the one on one with Tristan honestly blew the other group prep classes away! My son took the SAT again & was confident he improved his score. He was able to use the strategy Tristan taught him, and felt prepared in the math section. We won’t get the scores until July 11.... But we are feeling hopeful! Stay tuned. Tristan was kind, polite, professional & again, his in depth knowledge of the SAT is invaluable. S.T in CT

Dan was professional, thoughtful, and knowledgeable in his capacity as an educator and manager of Bulldog Tutors. Dan evaluated my son's needs and perfectly placed him with an outstanding tutor for S.A.T prep. I was so impressed with Dan's expertise and support that I referred several friends to enroll their kids in his program as well. They have been thrilled with the results.

Laura was so great. Our 9th grader needed last minute help prepping for a Geometry midterm. Laura was super-responsive and engaged, and made time for us the day after we posted our Thumbtack ad. She was able to work through all of the prep packet in a way that made it MUCH clearer than our daughter's teacher had. We are so grateful.

I am a 24 year old college student and I needed to take a statistics class to complete my undergraduate degree. I am a pretty average student when it comes to math, and the only class available was an online course that was mostly self-taught. Diane helped me understand the weekly lessons, and also helped me with my term project as well as prepping for my exams. I would definitely hire her again should I need any help with my graduate school math classes. She is a great teacher and I would highly recommend her.

With such very little time Dan made a huge impact !! Due to his help I passed the test with flying colors ! He actually breaks problems down and goes into detail. He shows you multiple ways to work out a problem. I enjoyed working with him, he actually made math fun and easy !!!!
