Introduction: For nearly a decade I have been employed as an Electronics Technician in the service center of the largest franchise in the Rent To Own business, which serves the customers and associates of over 100 store locations spanning from the Midwest to the Northeast and growing. On a daily basis I diagnose and repair a variety of electronics, including phones, game systems, laptops, tablets, stereos and TVs. On the side I also repair older technology like arcade and game systems. The kind of work I do ranges from simple hard drive and LCD replacements, to component level/mechanical repairs using specialized tools. I completed a course in A+ certification, and hold certifications with several major computer vendors, including HP, Dell, Toshiba, and Asus. I pride myself on being able to do the job right, quickly and for a fair price.

Great price, amazing service. I shattered my iphone screen into a million pieces. Friend told me to check on thumbtack because the store said they wouldn't fix it and just wanted me to buy a new phone. Luckily, he even had a replacement screen in stock and I had my phone back within an HOUR! I will definitely be contacting him again for any future repairs.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I am flexible and situations often vary but I typically meet customers at their house or meet up somewhere to pick up the item needing repair and fix it at my work shop. Sometimes items can be repaired on the spot and I can do this at the customer's house, or if need be at my workshop and deliver it same day, unless we have to wait on a part that needed to be ordered.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Growing up I've always had an interest for electronics --- not just using them but for taking things apart, figuring out how they work and repairing them. It was a natural progression that I became employed as a technician and I consider myself lucky to serve in a career doing not only what I am skilled at but also have a passion for.
