Denise, thank you for your feedback. We would like to respectfully clarify a few important details regarding this project. First, we sincerely apologize for the delay on the originally scheduled day. We experienced unexpected vehicle trouble and should have communicated with you sooner. We take full responsibility for that lack of communication. Regarding the additional $150 charge, this was not added without your knowledge or approval. The original estimate was based on installing customer-supplied doors that were expected to properly fit the existing door openings. The scope included preparing the doors for hinges and hardware and completing the installation. Once we arrived and began checking the doors, we discovered that they did not properly fit the existing jambs and required additional cutting and modification beyond the original scope. Before performing that additional work, we contacted you, explained the situation and the additional $150 charge, and received your approval to proceed. Had you not approved the additional work and cost, we would not have performed it. We specifically discussed the cutting because we wanted you to understand that modifying the doors could affect the factory finish, and you authorized us to proceed. Regarding the receipt/invoice, there was a delay in providing the revised final invoice, and we apologize for that. However, at the time payment was made, we also signed the payment acknowledgment/document that was provided to us confirming the amount received. A final invoice was subsequently prepared and provided, including the additional work. We respect every customer’s right to share their experience, but we also believe it is important to clarify that the additional $150 was discussed and approved before the extra work was performed; it was not an unexpected charge added after the installation. Had the additional work or charge not been approved, we simply would not have performed that portion of the work.
