Dan was hired to assemble and install IKEA cabinets in the kitchen. He did an impressive job they look beautiful. It was part of remodeling of our kitchen and as a contractor he scheduled his time around and with both the electrician and plumber. It soon became apparent that his skills on other parts of the renovation was invaluable. He opened the kitchen up in ways we didn't know was possible and offered ideas in the design that made our little kitchen more spacious then we thought possible. His help with coordinating color and patterns made this old kitchen in to something you might see in a magazine. We love it Thank you Dan! My Mother is a bit of a perfectionist and making her happy can be a task at times, but he accomplished it with a very professional attitude and skill. I have worked with other contractors before who can be tempermental with poor communication and disappearing for weeks at a time Not Dan he always kept me in the loop and was available for every concern. As for any improvement in hind sight the kitchen floor should have been covered the whole time because the plaster dust was somewhat difficult to scrub off the floor. And can I mention he did this while 2 small kids were Home on vacation and often in the way. His patients are to be admired as he always had a good sense of humor and a positive attitude.
On time, did good job of assembling IKEA furniture which can be difficult. Hung back door blind perfectly.
Don and his brother Sean did an outstanding job of helping me clean out my Dad's basement, which turned into more work than expected with the rest of the house too! They went far above the "extra mile", they are the nicest people I've ever hired and their prices are beyond reasonable! In addition to the cleanout, I had to move items with a rental van to my house, my husband was sick and couldn't drive it, so they went out of their way the next day and picked it up for me and drove an hour away to bring the furniture I kept to my house - then returned the van for me! I recommend them HIGHLY!!! I will definitely hire them again in the future without thinking twice.
Bob was amazing! We had a lot of furniture to assemble and he did it all in 2 days! He was very efficient and friendly which I appreciated. I had my 27 year old cherry bedroom furniture refinished by Dave and the results were outstanding!
Stephen and another worker cleared out my junk, rearranging and organizing my furniture and my valuables. Then I had him install shelves in the 2 bedroom closets and with some drawers, boy, you can’t tell it’s the same house! I’ve referred him out to two friends now. I’d definitely have him back!
Classic Refinishers beautifully restored two very damaged old wood tables of ours. Brennen Zaborowski was great to work with. He clearly (and patiently) explained our options and gave solid advice about what stains and finishes would look good. He provided honest and reasonable price quotes which we competitive with. a local refinishing shop. Pick up and delivery from our midtown Manhattan apartment was free. He kept us informed on the progress of the work. He also has kept in touch to make sure that we were happy with the work and has stopped by to adjust a wheel on the table at no extra charge. I cannot recommend Classic Refinishers more highly.
Jim was great to work with. My great aunt's Victorian bedroom set was water damaged due to a plumbing leak. It needed a lot of work from repair to refinishing. Jim took great care doing the work. He gave a clear time and money estimate and kept me informed every step of the way,
In December of 2011, I purchased a dim, run-down townhouse suffering from a bad case of shag carpeting, band-aid carpentry and nearly 30 years of neglect. To call it a "fixer-upper" would be an understatement--rather I had to completely gut it and start over from scratch. I hired Tom Mucherino to take care of the remodeling and bring it back to life, and I couldnt be happier with the work. Tom is very easy to work with--he shows up when he says he will, stays in good communication, and was always very helpful and informative when it came to making decisions. Among other things, he handled all the demolition, completely re-did my kitchen and bathroom, replaced all of the damaged drywall in the house, sanded and refinished the upstairs floors, and installed new floors on the other two levels. Tom is a perfectionist, taking the time to make sure everything was done right, and his committment to his work shows; everything he did met or exceeded my expectations. He even put in a custom spice rack, and built me a new set of stairs to my upstairs loft! Today, my house is absolutely gorgeous--I get compliments from everyone who visits about how light, bright, and airy and modern it is. I would recommend him without reservation to anyone needing a good contractor.
My Grandmother's little table is very special to us and was almost black with old finish and falling apart. Fawn did such a beautiful job, as you can see in her photo of it above. The price was fair, and she had it back to us in a reasonable time frame. She is our go-to antique furniture professional from now on. Mr. & Mrs. William C.

Denis Russell is an exceptional painting professional. I had a short window of time needed to paint out a rental and I called Denis. Denis did a beautiful job on time and on budget and was able to give me the expert advice on what kind of paint to obtain and what finishes worked best for my condo. Please accept my highest recommendation for Dennis Russell!!!

I've been doing painting of the interior and exterior, wallpaper, furniture restoration since 1990. Currently, I'm painting and a design instructor as of 2006.
Trained as an artisan apprenticing for Henredon, became manager. Can restore anything including fine antiques and wood grains. Can replace veneers and missing pieces of unique furniture.
I restore 1930s through1950s "vintage furniture." I do careful wood restoration and chalk paint coloring, and presto! Drab, unwanted furnishings become unique, striking conversation pieces. Paint colors will vary from bright to muted, although I believe that bright colors are especially good at bringing old furniture back to life with a bang. I restore and may repurpose dressers, occasional tables, coffee tables, end tables, desks, bookcases, chests, kitchen or dining tables and chairs, individual chairs, cribs, children's furniture and other items, if requested. I will restore or repurpose furniture manufactured later than 1950 if requested by an individual client.
