- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are very clear about our pricing when we quote customers. We charge and hourly rate based on the amount of movers it will take for your home. We NEVER charge a travel fee. The cost of getting our movers to you comes out of our pocket! Time starts when we reach your home and ends when we leave. We do not charge for the amount of stairs you have or steps to the truck! We will ask just so our movers know what they are working with but we do not charge extra. We have no hidden fees. The amount of time it takes to move your home is the end price. The owner attends each and every move so you can be sure that your hope is being moved as quickly and carefully as possible.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We do not see you as a number or a last name we scratch down in a calendar. We want to know your expectations, your budget, and your situation. I like to get you know who we will be working with and we feel you should know us as well. Having people you do not know in your home touching your belongings can add to the stress of moving (as if there is not enough) So we want you to feel as comfortable as possible!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My husband/co owner worked for moving companies for the past 8 years. He was the lead driver and mover and saw the horrifically surprised look when he would hand over the bill to the customers when they saw all the hidden fees associated with their move. Buying a home or renting a new apartment is expensive in its self. We enjoy being a small company, this allows us the not as much overhead so we don't need to pass those costs onto our customers.
