Burgundy School of Music provides private one-on-one music lessons for students of ALL AGES. We are located in Connecticut but also provide online music lessons. We specialize in understanding music as a language and utilizing it for expression. This goes for all instruments including voice. Whether it’s learning how individual notes work together for one complete sound, or how to manipulate your anatomy to create the vocal tone you desire, with our instruction, you can do it!

Honestly, Cynthia is God sent. She is a great teacher, she teaches in such a way as allows you to be confident and excited to learn. By the end of my first class with her, I was able to play a song and was motivated to learn and score more songs on my own. I know that am on a journey and there’s still so much to learn but am excited she is on this journey with me. So it’s a yes!!!! i am recommending her to everyone

My name is Keira and I have been Cynthia’s voice/piano student for 5 years now. As I was involved with musical theater at the time I started lessons, Cynthia taught me specific techniques for the certain genre of a particular song. I also learned theory and completed an ear training book from her college, which helped me with AP music theory in school!! Cynthia will become your best friend; she’s literally my therapist!!! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are $75 an hour. 45 minute and 30 minute lessons are offered as well. Lessons are paid in advance month to month and are paid via autopay.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
There will typically be a phone call to find out what the student is looking for, then we can schedule their first lesson with the teacher that suits them best!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our founder, Cynthia Whitehead, has a Bachelors degree in Music from Berklee College of Music along with a Masters Degree in Business from Southern New Hampshire University/ Berklee College of Music. All of our instructors have some sort of formal training and are working musicians at some capacity.
