It was a pleasure to have Harry complete the job. He was right on time and completed the replacement of our shower valve efficiently.
Joshua snaked my kitchen sink and also repaired the handle of my bathtub that had broken off. He was really polite, and efficent. Took care of it in timely manner and price was fair.
Great service, called early in the morning and he came right out and fixed the problem in my bathtub right away.
Mike and Shawn (I think), called before they arrived with an ETA. They arrived on time and waa very professional and knowledgeable. They successfully troubleshoot the problem with my gas furnance, informed me of what was the problem and what will need to be replaced. Mike acquired the part while advising me of the cost beforehand. The replacement of the part was seamless and they tested the furnance before cleaning up after themselves. I will definitely be using them for future repairs/maintenance and will gladly recommend them to my family and friends!
Rome did extensive indoor and outdoor painting work for us in AZ at three different residences that we owned between 2008 and 2014. He also assisted us with interior trim repair/replacement, fence repair and several other projects related to the appearance of our homes. In every instance we found his work to be of the highest quality, and his prices were very competitive. He also has a high level of personal integrity and fairness which sets him apart from many contractors in todays environment. One example of this is that my wife and I always provided Rome with a key to our house, trusting him to start or stop each days work and lock up, even if we were not around at the end of the day. He is a detail orientated perfectionist when it comes to his paint work and I can recommend him without any resrvation to anyone looking for the highest quality of paint, plaster or woodwork.
We hired Bruce to remodel and update our bathroom, kitchen and to install washer and dryer hook ups in our 1920 Colonial. The project included new electrical, new drywall, building custom cabinets and doors as well as installing new plumbing. Bruce did not disappoint and the work was excellent and exceeded our expectations. It passed inspection with no problem and we are happy that our historical house now has modern ameneties such as a dishwasher, ceiling fan, and light timers. Bruce communicated with us every step of the way and always made sure to clean the work area (since we had to live in the house during the remodel). I would highly recommend Bruce again.
Julio helped replace the water values replaced for my washer. He was very professional, available on short notice, and did the job efficiently. I recommend his services to others.
I wanted some cabinets built and installed in the garage. This company confirmed the appointment and advised me when he'd arrive. His work was thorough and he cleaned up after he was finished. Beautifully done, and in good time.
Hired company to replace old electric water heater with a new natural gas heater. I was contacted quickly and received a very fair quote for the work that had to be done with pretty much immediate availability. He was on time and completed the job without issue. He was courteous throughout the entire process. The only complaints I could have, and I am nick-picking here, is that there was some water drainage from the old heater outside on the driveway he could have washed away and one of the pipes he installed could have been routed better to avoid a high traffic area (high risk of being knocked up against). All in all though he was on time, polite, professional, completed the work he said he would...and most importantly for a fair price. I would definitely use again.
I needed a cracked pipe replaced and a sink in my basement that was backing up unclogged. Andrew responded to my request right away and made arrangements to inspect and quote the job. Andrew was very polite and professional and quoted me a good price for the job at hand. I know this may not happen in every situation but Andrew moved some things around in his schedule to get a crew at my house the following afternoon which was much appreciated. The following day I received a call from Andrew informing me his team was on there way. Two employees from A&D Services showed up they were also very polite and professional. In a couple hours they were done. The cracked pipe that needed replacement came out great. The sink that needed to be unclogged in the basement seemed to be a challenge because the crew did not have with them a snake to open up the pipes. All in all I'm very satisfied with the turnout of the job. I already have Andrew quoting me for future jobs. I would recommend A&D Services to future customers for their professionalism, customer service, great pricing on jobs, quality of work, and the array of different services that they provide.
He did an excellent & professional job replacing tile in the kitchen, 2 entry ways & the downstairs bathroom. He has extremely reasonable rates & was willing to work around our schedules. He was willing to put in long hours to complete the project in a timely manner.
Had some plumbing problems in the shower/bathtub. Mark Came over the same day to look at the problem. I was expecting to replace the whole fixer which means cutting whole in kitchen to get to the pipes. One look at it he said its in good shape just need a few parts. Came back the next day with the parts and fix it works like new. Very knowledge, very nice person to work with, everything spotless when he left. Great price. Could not be happier WILL HIRE HIM AGAIN IN MY SPEED DAIL. Steve
Handy LLC was very responsive and provided great service and quality. Came up over the weekend and fixed all the issues for my house(faucet sink, shower and other repairs). I would definitely hire again. Thank you!
After owning our home for over 40 years we were finally ready to remodel the original 1956 master bathroom. We interviewed 4 other contractors before meeting with "For-U-Builders" who seemed to share our vision for transforming our obsolete bathroom into a masterpiece of timeless design combined with quality craftsmanship. Each member of their team, from the owner to the sub-contractors approached the job with professionalism and enthusiasm, along with the in-house coordinator who communicated almost daily with ordering & scheduling details, assuring that the project was well orchestrated from start to finish. We couldn't be happier with the results and feel fortunate to have had this firm complete our dream bathroom on time and at a reasonable (middle of the range) cost. We will surely be using them again for our future projects.
a company Paulinho Home improvement did a great job on my floor installing new vinyl. Very professional, great service and prices very good I recommend to all this company Paulinho Home Improvement.
Roland was able to come out and install kitchen cabinets, counter, sink and plumbing within a week and at a very affordable rate. He dealt with several challenges with an old cottage without any change in price and got the project done in 2 days. End result looked great and perfectly fit our needs.
PLR carpentry is a professional operation through and through. Philip presented his license right off the bat and a professional brochure and business card which other contractors didn't . We were impressed with his knowledge and quality of work as well as his friendly and caring nature. We will continue to use Philip for all of our household projects and repairs. Thank you Philip!
Where to begin? We came home from vacation to find out we had some frozen pipes. The owner and his crew promptly got to work with state of the art infrared tools to locate our problem pipes. They were able to thaw the pipes, replaces broken fittings, and the sheetrock on the walls. Start to finish Joe and his crew went above and beyond our expectations and all we had to do was slap some paint on the walls. They even offered to take care of that, but we did not have the paint.its hard to believe there are still companies with that level of professionalism. We will defiantly keep them in mind for future projects, and would recommend them to anyone needing work done.
I have an 80's condo that needs a full remodel and wasn't sure where to start. Mark was recommended to me by a coworker. He came in, looked the place over, discussed my must haves and my wish list and gave me an estimate on the first project. Starting on the main level he removed a partition wall to open my kitchen. Then he removed the popcorn finish on my cathedral ceiling, refinished and painted it. I was very happy with the results so I had him continue with my list. I work a lot so I gave him a key. He comes and goes as he needs to and I have no worries. He installed my bamboo floors on a diagional because it's the design I wanted. When I couldn't get trim to match he took flooring to his shop and made custom transitions and thresholds. He installed a tile entry with more custom trim. He built an island where the wall had been to hold my new sink and dishwasher which included relocating the plumbing, electrical and all new outlets. He even made "countertops" out of cardboard so I could see exactly how it would all fit in the room and where to locate the faucet. Through all of this he has been easygoing and helpful with the many decisions I needed to make. He also had no problem with me doing what I can-painting and cabinets to keep costs down and working with the tradesmen I brought in to do code work. I have recommended him to friends and family one of whom thanked me for sending her "a guy who is so honest" when he told her it would be cheaper for her to replace a damaged ceiling than to have him patch it up. Next will be new floors, more popcorn removal, ceiling fixtures and new tile in the bathroom upstairs and Mark will be doing all of it. This is not my first reno but it is as easier than any of the others. I will post pictures shortly so you can see why I'm so happy.
I hired Cheshire Electric for a number of jobs at my home. Most important of which consisted of replacing a very old and unusual GE system which was highly unreliable, the installation of recess lights and ceiling fans around the house, and installation of an awesome home automation system. The owner, Jason Piccirillo, is always incredibly professional and courteous. I never hesitate to recommend such an outstanding local small business.
I have worked with AAA Plumbing LLC since 2009 as then-Chair of the Board of Trustees of First Ecclesiastical Society of East Haddam, Connecticut/First Church of Christ Congregational in East Haddam. At the time, we had AAA design and install a replacement system for an outdated steam system for the 1794 Meetinghouse. A design criteria is that it needed to be able to be shutdown completely, just like the steam system, as there is no water in the Meetinghouse part of the building. Two Unico System air handlers were added and connected to the newer boiler in the then 7-year old addition that had plenty of capacity to handle it. The solution was perfect and very quiet, although some missed the occasional clanging of the old steam pipes. I have since had service work performed on the Unico System air handler in my 1834 residence. Very pleased with all experiences and are my "go to" HVAC contractor.
