FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing depends on your coaching focus, and whether my work with you involves travel or we work locally or via phone/online. I offer different packages and often run special offers for Thumbtack clients. Email me, or give me call, and we can chat about your needs to help determine the best package for you.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Whether you've hired me for life coaching or career coaching, the general coaching structure is the same. We begin with a free consultation call in which I get a sense of what you need and we discuss how I can help and what that can look like in terms of time, fees, and resources. If we decide to work together, I then send you a packet with materials which can include questions to help you think about your life/career and your goals. The way your coaching proceeds after that depends on what we've discussed together, your unique goals, and your focus. Throughout working together, we are continually assessing your satisfaction and progress.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Board Certified Life and Career Coach. I have a Master's Degree in Holistic Thinking, and am a Certified Focusing Professional (see below). I am continually learning through workshops and reading books on topics ranging from willpower, the science of change, coaching itself, positive psychology, adult learning theory, ADD/ADHD, and other learning issues in adults. I am an ACC through the International Coaching Federation and participate in their professional development opportunities. I recently completed additional professional development on current trends in resume writing. Previous to coaching I worked in education (teacher, professional development), the performing arts (professional ballet dancer, dance educator) and I am certified in "Focusing," a process of helping people listen to themselves deeply and to grow the skill of listening not to just what a client says, but what he or she means.
