I hired Skilled Service, Repair & Installation a few weeks ago, right before the New Year, and it was a very pleasant experience, from the introductory email, to the phone/text conversations, to the finalization of the job. One thing I really like about Joseph is, that he is really does seem like an honest business man. He must've mentioned to me two or three times not to ever feel shy about asking any questions at all and voicing my own opinion. As a homeowner, and not a professional in the construction business, it is very intimidating at times hiring contractors and letting them and their sub-contractors in the home while having to perform family-hood duties. I mean the household chores, the kids and their homework and their chores, etc, etc. I run a very busy household, Joseph's head had to be spinning, trying to stay focused on the work, hearing the noise and comotion. Who knows what he must've thought of my homelife, LOL, but like I said above, him and his helper were very pleasant and professional. They both have children themselves, and they both said it was nothing new to them. Even when Joseph came by for the estimate, my son and daughter would not leave my side, not even five minutes into estimate he had my kids giggling and smiling, I thought that was very sweet of him. So between the paint job and the electrical installation for the master bedroom and kids' room, the rooms came out absolutely wonderful. The accent walls in each room bounce the rest of the room right out at you. The lighting was beautifly done and there are more outlets and they are so easy to get to now, yay!!
Scope of work was to install microwave hood with direct vent. Walter and team did a great job. I look forward to working with him on future projects such as kitchen renovation and framing renovation in the near future
Greivin is a very reliable, honest and responsive contractor who did a great job at repainting our house. I offered him the job after he submitted the best bid among 4 contractors to paint my 1340 sq feet house in Hoboken. My walls were painted in dark colors with different rooms having different colors and we were shifting to all white - he did a great job that needed four coats and also agreed to repair our wooden floor in a small corner for no extra cost. He has done a great and timely job - in a condo building, he did the job with no disturbance to neighbors. Highly recommended.
We hired Marty to replace a damaged faucet, fix our capped pipping, repair damaged wood framing, and replace and patch the drywall in our master bedroom. All in a single day. He did an excellent and meticulous job on the bathroom, and the new faucet works great. The wall was closed up, and Marty even had time to take a look at our garage door opener, which had been malfunctioning for quite some time. The value you get for Marty's time is great. If you have any odds-and-ends around the house that need fixing, don't hesitate to give Marty Klein a try. You won't be disappointed.
Juan was very professional and has done an excellent job in the time frame he promised. I've dealt with many contractors before and Juan by far is the most pleasant to work with. I would strongly recommend hiring him to do work.
A nice guy who does a very good job. Did a perfect install with preventative finishings like wd-40 to door hardware to prevent stiffness or rust. caulking to avoid drafts and wood putty for smooth paint finish. I am a hard sell and pretty picky.... No Complaints!
General Handyman work was performed. Very small projects included drywall repair, painting, roof repair and wood door frame repair. Work performed timely.
The most responsible, professional on time, spot on contractor I ever met. Honest, beyond fair pricing. This is the contractor you want on your side. Great work! Thankyou so much!!
We hired Brian to build/install and paint some simple custom shelving in a useless nook behind our shower. They came out perfect and for a fair price. He also regrouted portions of our shower and floor. Since then the Fratturo’s (both Brian, Harry and their crew, have completely rebuilt our old deck and added to it. (Was told by another contractor the original framing was unsalvageable and we’d need to rebuild it entirely). He also painted a hallway w staircase on short notice without issue. We just sold that house and they will be doing all the same things to our new one. They are the only choice.
Teddy is truly a perfectionist he knows his craft. I Would highly recommend him. My husband is a retired contractor and is known for wood crafting and he would consider Teday to remodel our master bath room in the Spring. Susan Stevens
Rome was exceptionally reasonable with his pricing compared to other quotes we received, and he started at our soonest convenience. His talented crew were a pleasure to have in our home as they tackled several projects we were working on. We had Rome renovate our kitchen, wallpaper and paint our dining room, paint and renovate cabinets in our billiard room, and paint several other rooms in our home, they replaced several wood planks on our pergola and on the deck and steps that were unsafe and his wood worker went above and beyond with his amazing skills to go the extra mile with several things on the deck that needed changing or that that needed a face lift. They power washed our home and made it look new and replaced several odds and ends that had just been needing a new look. He was always willing to work around our busy schedules and eager to please. He is a very kind, pleasant presence which we appreciated as we were working with him and his crew for several weeks. They were always on time and clear about what they were doing and what they needed in order for us to prepare for different projects. We had our kitchen counters removed and a family member was going to be inheriting them, and he was even kind enough to take his time and his crews time to help transport them to the new owners vehicle which was greatly appreciated and much needed. I would go on and on about how Rome and his crew were a pleasure to work with but i dont want to fail to mention what a wonderful person he actually is and how he truly cares if you are happy with the outcome of things and the progress as well. Rome is a one of a kind find when it comes to anything having to do with your home and he will respect your home and things in it more then i have ever witnessed with any other company. He is a great man of his word and was a great find on this sight!!! We will always call Rome in the furure for anything relating to home improvement. If youre lucky enough to find him youre lucky enough!! Hopefully Rome gets to see this review so he knows how very thankful we are that we found him and were blessed enough to have him make our home everything we wanted and more!! Rome and his professional, caring crew are one of a kind, skilled and professional!!!!
I owned three homes in fifty years and used many contractors for various projects both big and small. Mauricio Franklin of Mike Eisner Restoration was one of the best contractors, if not the best, I ever used. In addition to the above highlighted qualities, he and his workers were extremely courteous and polite. It was pleasant having them work in my house.
I had Frankie and his crew finish my bathroom framing and put in a sonic tube and remove my chimney and satellite dishes. They were awesome. He even secured my old deck without even charging me !! They were friendly and punctual and clean!! They were worth every penny ,I will definitely hire them again for my future projects in my home.
We enjoyed working with Quito's Contractors for our siding project. We have an older house so, naturally, there were some bumps along the way. Felix and his team handled them in a very professional manner and still got the job done when they said they would. We would definitely recommend Quito's Contractors!
Mark is reliable, competent, experienced, considerate, prompt and reasonable in his pricing ! As a home owner of 35 years, i know what to look for in a home improvement contractor. If you are, as i was, looking for a JOB WELL DONE ...Mark is your man ! He is committed to customer satisfaction ! S.
Removal of wood paneling, tiled ceiling and installation of sheetrock and painting new surface areas. Ozzy and his team did an outstanding job removing and installing the existing paneling and applying the new sheetrock especially in difficult areas. Ozzy worked tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the job was completed to my liking. He took the time and effort to make sure no corners were cut and provided expert advice on areas I was uncertain about. His knowledge and experience proved worthy. His assistance and selection of paints helped tremendously. Highly recommend Ozzy and look forward to using him on future projects.
Needed repair for water damage in a ceiling, re-calling a tub, and drywall repair in a bedroom. It was very easy to make and appointment for an estimate and started work the following day. He was very thorough, making sure there were no other leaks in the ceiling and did the job quickly and well. Based on my experience I would highly recommend him.
As a military family managing a rental property in New York while stationed in another state, it can be extremely stressful and inconvenient when things go wrong. Last winter (2015), we found that out first hand, when we had a pipe freeze while our tenants were on vacation. The resulting flooding and water damage required us to completely remodel our kitchen, upstairs bathroom, family room and basement. We turned to KW Building and Remodeling for the job and could not be more pleased with the result. Not only did they work with our insurance company for us, they managed the entire project from start to finish while we remained out of state. They stayed in constant communication with us and made us feel at ease as they restored the home we hope to one day retire to. Knowing what was happening every step of the way (including photo updates) was invaluable to us and we can't thank KW enough for their willingness to stay in touch at all times. The experience was positive for reasons far beyond the communication aspect, however. The work done by KW Building and Remodeling was top-notch and the sub-contractors they brought in for tile work were equally great. We have since recommended their company to several family members and friends and will continue to do so. For a stress-free, high-quality experience, you can't go wrong with KW Building and Remodeling. Thank you Karl for all you did for us!
Michael did an amazing job fixing up various projects around our house. He was very fair in his estimate and even finished all the jobs quicker than anticipated. I definitely hope to use his services again in the near future. I've used other contractors in the past but none match his level of detail and responsiveness.
On time, excellent communication skills. For my electrical project, he was happy to describe what he was doing, why it should be done and the expected outcome. If only every contractor was as professional ... I would use JSP again in a heartbeat.
Hired for a big job, 2 bathrooms gutted, redo downstairs area, finish wood floors, replace 8 door frames, some remodel stuff and paint. Did a very good job, would use again. Only issue was the end of the job felt rushed as we were moving in and he had a deadline. He was doing finishing work while the moving truck was unloading. Overall quite good just maybe better use of schedule on future work would be my recommendation
