- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We charge $15 per person for our basic catering. It's buffet-style, and includes rice, your choice of three warm vegetables (cabbage, chickpeas, potatoes, cauliflower, green peas), your choice of two proteins (chicken, lamb, paneer, tofu, lamb), your choice of two masalas (makani, tikka, onion-tomato), lettuce, cucumber-tomato salad, pickled red onions, sweet corn, and your choice of two chutneys (garlic yogurt, tomato, tamarind, mango, cilantro mint, red chili, habanero). It is a lot of food and a lot of variety! We also offer naan, samosas, lassis, beverages, and cookies for an additional fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We try to make it as easy as possible. All we need to do is to confirm the new customer's choices for the catering, and we'll send an invoice for them to pay at their leisure anytime before the event. You'll get my (the owner's) personal cell phone number and email for any changes, follow-up, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been in the restaurant business for over 20 years, including work for full-service restaurants, catering companies, start-ups, mom & pop restaurants, concession stands...if it involves making and selling food and making people smile while doing it, I've done it!
