[Northwestern Grad] Brightside College Essays

My essay program is committed to helping students discover what makes them unforgettable and put it on the page. I have 6 years experience counseling competitive students for Top 20 private and public schools, 2 years in higher education management consulting, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University. I offer an essay writing lab, as well as an extensive network to connect high schoolers to alumni from their target schools for first hand knowledge of the application process and campus life. My 3 part program - Story Lab, Voice & Style Lab, and Essay Lab - offer guided 1:1 sessions to surface each student’s most compelling story with narrative potential, refine their writing style against previous successful applicants, and write their final draft personal narrative step-by-step. I tailor each approach to students’ needs across writing experience spectrums, neurodivergence spectrums, and languages (Spanish, French). I believe in fun and skill progression; so my students leave with not just a personal statement, but greater confidence in themselves and their application journey.
