Introduction: Greetings!
My name is Kate, and I am a counseling professional in the Washington D.C. area. I have been working in the field of psychology since 2006, and I have been practicing as a family therapist since 2012. I am trained in the Functional Family Therapy model, an evidence-based, short-term model of therapy. Other areas of practice include marriage counseling as well as individual counseling.
I am offering professional counseling services to clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. As a professional in the field, I have come to appreciate the importance of engaging the individuals, couples and families with whom I work in a setting that is most comfortable and convenient, for them. I travel to my clients at times and locations they specify.
From the busy mom who has a few hours free while her kids practice after school sports to the business professional who'd like to utilize the office's empty conference room during their lunch hour, I make my services available at times and locations most comfortable for my clients. I also offer virtual therapy sessions at a reduced rate. Please check out specifics in the questions and answer section on my page.
Please note I do not accept insurance; however, I believe you will find my prices to be reasonable. Because I am still in the process of fulfilling licensing requirements, I accept a reduced hourly rate for my service. Specific pricing information is located in the questions and answer section as well.
Please note I do not complete formal assessments or diagnostics for severe psychological conditions. I am also unable to prescribe medication, as I am not a medical doctor.
